So absolutely what we were worried about with our forward line is happening, our talls seem to be getting in each other’s way. Max needs to go back to protecting space if he’s there, allow Brown, Tommy, and Weid to get an easier look at it. The pack forming is just too much for a contested mark.

So Yze, you said they were going to make adjustments to get better at centre clearances. It hasn’t worked, we need to work it out.

It's very apparent at the ground that our small forwards have been [censored] useless. The likes of Kozzie, Spargo and ANB need to lift.

Trac playing like he thinks he's a world beater. No need to thrill us with every touch, just do the simple things.

I’m loving the completely biased barracking against us from the commentary.

The ABC Radio is worse with that guy that used to play for Carlton... McClure or however you spell his name

Trac is filthy at himself. I sit near the bench and he was fuming when he came off in the first. Needs to do better.

Defensively pretty solid. May Lever and Salem playing well

TMac is best BOG. Where would we be without him.

Weid ok for his first game. chandler struggling. Reckon i'd prefer an extra small to bring some pressure. Not locking it in there enough.

Clearance work is a mess. Viney comes straight back in as soon as he's fit.

Can someone please explain the umpiring to me?

Sure, when it’s an obvious free, pay it the other way. When it’s clearly not a free, pay one anyway. When one side gets behind pay a free.  When you don’t want to pay a free against your favorite team, invent a new rule like ‘he tried to kick it’!!!

Why is Gawn pushing forward with the three big guys we already have there???

Elementary game day error. Clearly not necessary. All it does is clog up the forward line and create uncertainty. Either coach's instructions or Big Max is a little slow in working out where to position himself with this re-jigged forward line. Another issue hopefully to be addressed at half-time.

Chandler deserves some slack but he’s a mile off it. I can’t remember an involvement that was a positive one.

Meanwhile Weid and T Mac in the side is a thing of beauty.

Carlton fans say McKay is “unstoppable” 1 on 1 and yet Steven May has won every single 1 on 1. What does that make May?

Don’t care if he’s injured, May was bathing him well before it too.

Plenty to improve, but sitting quite nicely.

I think the forwards getting in each other’s way has been as much is reverting to bombing it in. Especially with Carlton, lower your eyes and there will be pockets of space.

Petracca will be reminded to do the simple things at half time, and he will be better for it.

Thank the Lord for TMac. Our clearance work with a dominant ruckman  is schizenhousen.

Also our crumbers go to the back of the pack, they need to be at the front.

Only 2 forward 50 tackles compared to their 10.

Petracca has been quite poor so far. Trying to do superman stuff instead of the first option.

Yep. Anb dissappeared . Kozzie not much.

Need to move it quicker inside 50.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
