Interestingly the game may have been played in Sydney (for some strange reason) if the Hobart game fell through. Thus the game may not have even been relocated to Marvel. Quote
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 I guess that is good news for our Tassie fans (all 3 of you? haha) Hope we can finally find a win at the wind tunnel. 1 Quote

Demonstone 23,577 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 100 to one on is ridiculous odds in a two horse race, even in this contest where one of the horses is a thoroughbred champion and the other is a Shetland pony. Quote

ManDee 7,395 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 $1.01 you get a better return from the bank! Quote

Presumably the AFL had decided that the most important component of this match was to make Melbourne fly for about an hour to get to their. 1 1 Quote

Pickett2Jackson 3,904 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Is this the ground that routinely has an 8 goal wind blowing whichever way it feels like? Would be just our luck if the wind changed each quarter and the Kangas had the wind the whole game. Only something that mental could stop the Dees juggernaut. 1 Quote

Couldn’t get anything in Ponting for a group of our size (8). Not perfect but should beat the garbage we’ve had the last few times. 1 Quote
Supermercado 2,806 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Might do an Essendon fan and complain that the game wasn't moved somewhere more people could see it. 1 2 Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,552 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Correct if I'm wrong but every time we play North at Blundstone they end up kicking with the wind in the first quarter meaning that we were always too knackered to take advantage of it in the last? The most minor of minor danger games this one, if we can't handle the wind. Quote

This will only be a danger game if Bombay Airconditioning placed that bet back in early March that North would lose every game this year. If he placed it, we will drop this game for sure. Hopefully he didn't. 1 Quote
Kozzie4PM 765 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 I'm heading down for this one. Any locals know of a good pub for before/after? 1 Quote
dworship 3,343 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 We usually go to the Waterfront Hotel before and after. It's near the ferry stop and then a short walk to the ground. It gets pretty crowded but they have a large outside area which is great when the weather's good, which it should be. 1 Quote

Was going to suggest Waterfront. Only one within walking distance. Might have to wander in around 12 for a couple of pints before the game. Edited April 28, 2021 by Clintosaurus 1 Quote
