Ben Brown is too good for this level

You'd hope so!

¾T Casey Demons 11.14.80 to Richmond VFL 4.5.29. In these conditions, it’s an unassailable lead.

Goals Brown 4 White 2 Bradtke Foot Machaya Munro Weideman

Disposals Bowey 20, Munro Sparrow 18 Jetta 17

3/4 time 29 to 80 Brown 4 White 2 1 each to Weid Foot Machaya Munro and Bradtke best players Daw Brown Baker and Jetta

Firstly, absolute full credit to the Richmond staff for not only providing a good quality live stream, but even providing full stats and regular "player spotlight" updates for Casey players. Absolutely [censored] on our Casey coverage from a great height. We couldn't even send one [censored] dude out there to tell us how the MFC players were going earlier in the year. Lots to learn from the best in the business.

Now, to the game.

Ben Brown is exactly as I remembered him at North. Annoying. Umpires' pet. Accurate. [censored] good. It's very nice to know that he's ours now.

Bowey has been very busy.

Bedford will get games this year, he has fantastic work rate and pressure. Skills aren't the best but there's a clear role for him.

Bratdke is still a million miles off. I wonder how long we'll persist?

still don't think bb or weid quite ready

majak playing well....but geez i'd like to see a bit more mongrel

Love the way the Tiges do the rough up on a player just after they have got rid of the ball or when they are not in the play.

Really brave stuff.

His only failing, as far as I can tell, is his inability to land a tackle.

Weid nice mark and goal for his second

But the surface will be slippery.

Not for long. The MCG turf soaks it up like the Sahara.

That's how they took out Ports young guns a few weeks ago. Edwards has a sneaky and subtle dumping action to his chase tackles imo. Dimma's thuggery rubbing off.

mate, we're talking mcg....drains very quickly....plus i think they have underground heaters

ground will be great.....a bit of dew though, no wind to be a problem

Free to Brown misses

Schol has taken 3 very good marks and is pretty much their only avenue forward

Just saw the free kick stats. 33-12 in our favour. What's going on there?

I feared for my life and I was only watching

A rare free against as Maj rides a tiger into the dirt from behind

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
