Yes. Cameron Ling...never has anything good to say about Melbourne.

Yeah, not a big fan of Lingy but he generally says things that make sense to me even if I disagree.

Dermy is just full of it. He's just a constant jumble of wild theories.

First half wasn't bad but couldn't quite put his stamp on it. Second half went to not another level, another 3 levels.

5. Hunt

Best game in years. Got his confidence back in taking the game on but also timed his dashes forward for the handball receive perfectly.

4 . Langdon

Starting to take his games for granted, which is stupid. Provides us with the best width on the park you could hope for.

3. Pickett

What more can you say, kids at the nightclubs will be soon doing the Pickett shuffle.

2. Viney

If he plays that kind of game week in week out I will not complain at all.

1. Salem

The number of plays he kick starts with his short passing is often overlooked by everyone except us.

6 Gawn

5 Pickett

4 Lever  (Was given huge responsibility to hold a position that was constantly exposed, allowing others to be free)

3 Viney

2 Langdon

1 Brayshaw (tie break with several others was the fact he is beginning to show promise in his wider role)

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
