Agree.

Lazy, inaccurate, unaccountable and timid.

One of the most frustrating players on our list

Ridiculous suggestion. I don't see why he's the whipping boy, at least he gets us goals. I'd rather see Brayshaw put on the trade table.

Edited by ignition.

If he could kick straight hed be a damn good player

Agreed. Plenty to work with. Unlike others on the list.

Would be like watching Howe go to Collingwood again.

He's just the type of player that needs to kick a crunch goal in a final and misses. He does this far too often!

He’s taken about five marks in the forward 50. Yes, his kicking his crap but that can be changed.

[censored] off Picket he's a gun.

Had four shots at goal in a half and has kept one of their most dominant players (Ridley) to just 7 touches so far.

Think I'd rather keep him.

he's a like for like for jack watts with worse kicking skills

To be fair I thought you started this thread...but there you go, at least you got in there with something kinda dumb.

Last week did a good job on Haynes. Today beating an AA candidate in Ridley.

This isn't a poor player whose goalkicking is the icing on the [censored] cake, he's just goalkicking away from being a B+ to A grader.

Just try and get him to kick properly.

He plays his team role which pushes him out to boundary at fairly long range. It's annoying that he misses a lot of shots but it's not abnormal for kicks from such positions. He also is dragging defenders wide which is giving Weid and others some space and opportunities closer to goal. He's playing a tactically important role and without doubt sacrificing the 'appearances' of his own game.

If you'd rather a bomb to nothing and instant rebound, instead of a mark and difficult shot on goal, sure, I see why you have a problem with Fritsch.

Ffs why do we even bother responding to this drunk nuffy snarking?

He's so close to being a damaging player, its all mental in front of the sticks with Bayley.

This is nearly word for word what I was going to write.

I don’t think people are understanding his role. He was great last week in stopping Haynes’ intercepts and his first half against Ridley has bee great as Ridley has been super this year and will probably win the bombers B and F.

His kicking for goal usually look straight they just go towards 11 or 1 o’clock. He really needs to sort this as it would elevate him to another level.

His game today and last week has been very good

Okay fine. I’ll bite.

Yes his radar has been off but that is very correctable. Trac’s goalkicking was lamentable not long ago. Doesn’t look like missing these days. It is largely between the ears.

But the main argument against is what would a club cough up for Fritsch? He’s not exactly a name player. He is worth FAR more to us than what we’d get for him at the trade table.

Didn't do it today.

How many of our players are capable of 7 shots on goal?    Yes hes kicking has been off and ended up with 22.24 but hes a very important player for 2021

Oh by the way he won our goalkicking

IMO Would still trade him, went missing in the third and most of last except for a gimme goal from 15 out then a crumb. Thats my opinion take it or leave it!

Sir, you cannot be serious, there are many ahead of Fritter in the possible trades queue.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
