Simple reason people are asking why Lockhart   Isn’t playing is we don’t have a small lockdown defender!

if tipinwoodi kicks 3-4

walters vs Freo unmarked for easy goals

Well should Nev retire at the end of this year then the enduring image of him could be him putting his body on the line in a tight do or die match which we won.

I really like what we've seen of Lockhart this year so I hope him not getting a game is due to a desired match up, I would have him ahead of Smith otherwise (although admittedly Smith has looked less like a headless chook lately).

Hibbo back to face his old team, he was poor early in the year but he's come back into the form we know he capable of from about round 7 onwards.

Get it done Dees!

Smith played a really good game last week on Himmelberg who got dropped this week after his performance, other than that I think he is a liability.. I just worry whenever he is near it or has to dispose of it

Lockhart not even an EMG this week, would love the club to bring forward some transparency on what's happening with him.

Do you really expect the club to tell supporters and media about the reason why 22 other blokes are not in the squad?

Lockhart is a mid- range player that has others in front of him, no commentary required.   It’s not like they are leaving Gawn out of the side.

?when did Lockhart become the greatest defender in history?
You blokes are kidding yourself. Lockhart is average at best and has a habit of turning it over.  Hibbo is miles ahead of him.

We said the same thing about Dan Butler, who didn't score when we played the Saints, and Tom Papley, who was handy without causing us a whole lot of damage.

I'm a Lockhart fan but, apart from Smith, I'm happy with how our back line has been selected.

hibbo had 3 kicked on him by walters and everyone was saying hes not small enough for the slippery little blokes then nev had 3 kicked on him by daniel last week who basically hadnt kicked a goal all season until then and now tippa is gonna run riot pretty much unopposed. u should be more worried

Not worried in the slightest.

I don’t think he is the greatest defender, but was starting to play the role, and at least stayed down, rather than up for the punch!

No Jacko. If we need to gain 50+ points on the Saints we better be hoping GWS make up the lions share of them as I can't see us doing it tbh.

Jackson is a surprise omission but fair enough, he should not be risked this late in case we win against Essendrug.

Agreed, and good disposal generally. I thought he was starting to develop and could become Nev 2.0

One of these guys that would benefit from 6-10 games in a row to cement a spot

I'd reckon Smith had to be in the side, so he could rotate, slipping forward for an intercept and goal or two.

Fair point '56. I just thought he worked so well with the Weid prior to his injury and is a good chop out for Max who still looks to be playing a little sore. Brown is a bit too beige for mine.

Looks like the end of an era with Jones and Jetts on the way out sadly.

Positive change with Hibbs run and skills.

....and Tom and at last, Oscar.

Yes we need the Weid and Pickett to nail 3 or more each this week. They need to fire.
