Very poor conditions for our two games up here. Very poor scheduling by the afl. Muppets

Yeah, sure.
Haven’t watched much, but were our opponents playing at a different time to us?  Could explain a lot.  ???

Don’t disagree that we have been outplayed. But if you read my post I was saying that no team should’ve played in Cairns in September. Woeful conditions on both games.

2 sides went up there and did the job

We didn’t

Nothing has gone right today. Vanders kicking goals included ?

I'd say we're headed for another rebuild, and we need to recruit some talent...

... But seriously who the hell would want to come to us? We're a basket case, the culture is broken and we can't be bothered even doing the basics.

I dont think I have seen a slower team. What in the world happened? We look so weak and tired.

But not this time ?

Good to see VB pumped after that kick trying to lift the others. Shame so many are deflated and pea hearted.

We have 2 more years of this garbage game plan ... if Goodwin has any sympathy for the members & supporters he should resign as what’s occurring is a  disgrace & embarrassing

Tell me, why does Goodwin move to the bench for the last 10 min? What purpose does it serve. Pick the box or pick the bench and stay there.

For the 2nd time in 2 weeks we play a bottom 5 side and get comprehensively outcoached  outclassed and well beaten.

Good job Simon. If you had any integrity you would resign straight after this game.

And don't forget 2017 v collingwood who were 14th. We didn't lay a tackle inside the first 20 minutes we anted the win so bad.

FFS it infuriates me!!

he doubled the [censored] down on the game plan after the Eagles loss in 2018, Even after last year continues to double down on the game plan. this game plan does not win [censored] games let alone finals!!

We bring in new coaches and move deck chairs on the Titanic. How can he keep selling hope to the players. these two weeks tell me he has lost the players. EVERYTHING ON THE LINE, and not even a whimper. are the boys a bit tired? who the [censored] cares? not me!!

The dockers have had how many shots at goal? tells me the midfielders and  forwards are not doing what they should, lazy [censored]!!

apologies for the swearing

My kingdom for a [censored] small forward

You can't play AFL football when you're as weak at the contest as Fritsch is.

Goodwin desperation hour: May forward. Goodwin to bench.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
