That game played out like you'd expect our game to next week. Brisbane getting a stack of it inside 50 and a stack of shots on goal, but failing to take their chances. St Kilda keeping their forward half open and using speed and run to make the most of it.

If we're going to go down the same road, goalkicking accuracy is critical.

Fingers crossed we have our kicking boots from the Pies game and not the dogs game then.

Moving on to different games, fingers crossed the Weagles get the job done against GWS today, and maybe pray from an upset from the Kangas. I could actually see that happening, Pies are so depleted and who knows maybe something random could happen for Shaw.

Only 1 thing in our favour for next week. St Kildas inconsistancy.

Based on what? They've been one of the more consistent teams this year.

they might not have enjoyed their first hub life, but meth coke should be odds on to be top two with the way they're playing

they're absolutely doing a number on gw$ in their last match over in the west

Meth coke are a class above. The only good thing about our predicament we don’t have to play them as they would slaughter us. Who need another 2018 prelim final. Evidently there is equalisation in the AFL. Can someone rationally explain how they got Kelly arguably the best player in the AFL last year. Salary cap my a**e

Lynch can get nicked.

Referred straight to the tribunal layzie.

Let’s see how this plays out.

Brereton is Right.
the pressure within the Eagles fwd line is immense and unrelenting

The Nik Nat Snap goal

We do that maybe once a year

Wasn't there a rule that if a player gets 3 fines in one year the third is an automatic 1 week suspension.  Jordan Lewis was hit with this a few years ago when he played for us.

I wonder if that rule is still in place?

Either way, it looks like a cop out by Christian.  Deliberate, low impact, high impact = 1 week holiday.

Watch the Tribunal just give Lynch a fine...

I'm pretty sure that was lumped in with the points based system which for me confused the whole thing, particularly when they then brought in the 10% downgrade for an early plea. They took out that system because people didn't like the carry over points.

I would've thought the simple option is that if you have been given a low grade reprimand for a gut punch, low impact strike, or low sling tackle that puts you on an offender list that takes say 5 games to wipe off and if you do something low impact again you get a one match ban. Similar to the yellow card system in football.

It stops players from doing the cheap little shots that isn't enough for a suspension straight off but then repeat offences gets a ban.

EDIT: Just going with my 5 game offender list, I also think it should take 5 games PLAYED to clear your name. They can be VFL games but you shouldn't get a free pass from injury.

Somehow we need nth to upset the pies. Not only will it keep us in touch with the 8 but seeing the pies lose would be great.

Luke Dahlhaus just got a week for the identical tackle that ANB got 4 weeks for, with one exception, the victim wasn’t concussed. That is pathetic in that penalty is now decided not by intent, or legality of action, but on any injury that occurs.
Punch a bloke in the face, which is an illegal act, but if victim not injured, result is a fine or 1 week.
This is ridiculous.
AFL now more concerned with staging.

This nth/filth match is beyond a joke. The worst football I have seen in ages.

What a joke

4 weeks/1 week for the same action

Corruption is the only word for it

Couldn’t care less if it’s the worst match in the history of the game, if North get the win that’ll be awesome on so many levels!

Magpies have the cue in the rack. Can’t even play well against North

This was what Gil said after Burgoyne got away with the first tackle this year:

AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan said the change would ensure the potential injury of a hazardous tackle would be taken into account by the match review officer when grading an incident.

“We want to be clear; protection of the head is our highest priority and we want all players at all levels and age groups to better understand that these tackles shouldn’t be part of our game.

“Dangerous tackles have the potential to cause head injuries, and it is essential that this is taken into account when assessing an incident under the AFL Tribunal guidelines.”

What an absolute load of bull?!

Corrupt is the only word.

This is a terrible game of footy.

The consistent this season is that C/Wood have been in many terrible games.

Their game plan and personnel keep throwing up rubbish games.

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
