Ok 16 point lead. We can do this. They are 2 down and on the bench and thompson looked proppy as well. We kicked a bit better.

Come on boys bring it home!

Can we win a single centre clearance ?

To be fair we are getting demolished in the ruck which we are very confused about clearly. We are used to losing clearances when we have a dominant ruckman. It’s all too hard.

They're at least one down (Bonar), possibly two (Anderson).

They're also fatiguing, coming off a 4 day break, but so are we.

Our fitness, and our 1 or 2 more players on the bench, should see us run the game out better.

But we must keep our midfield effort up, cannot let them waltz from centre clearances, and must convert when going inside.

They are 2nd guessing themselves in the middle. They need a summer of stoppage work to maximise Gawn and what looks like LJs tap work

Dogga, Kossie, Weid and especially Trac are killing it. Spargo a surprise. Keep it up Dees bury them.

Should be a comfortable victory, but we all know this will be a last minute heartbreak or victory that takes another 5 years off our lives

Are you suggesting we have our mojo back?

So glad someone got it!

All things that all teams strive to do all the time.

We're playing with 20.

Jones and TMac are giving us absolute donuts.

Barring a massive last quarter, neither should hold their spots.

The Roos stink. We should be 6+ goals up.

The only saving grace to not being 6+ goals up is that we hopefully won't slack off in the fourth and keep working hard. When our work rate is up, the ball spends most of the time in our forward half and North struggle to score.

Loving Oliver and Petracca's work. And Spargo is doing well.

Slightly harsh on Tom Mac.  I'm no fan, and think he should go back out when Gawn returns, but he worked his way into the game as has 10 touches to go with 5 tackles.  He normally wouldn't lay 5 tackles in a month of games.  He certainly hasn't been our worst.

This is a shocking watch save for the Trac and Oliver show

Dont watch it then.

Oh wait it's demonland my bad

We did better on the scoreboard that term, but we aren't home.  We need to put the foot down like last week.

However, I think we are showing better signs going forward.  We are taking more right options which is resulting in us hitting players on the lead, something we weren't doing enough of earlier in the season.

But last term coming up but I'm backing us in to see it through.

I just dont understand our continual kicking into the forward pockets.

The number of times we've had players leading front and centre 40 out and we'll ignore them and go to the boundary.

Massive last quarter coming here, big first goal coming.

It’s starting to come together, but we should be 5 goals clear by now.

Much better coming out of our D50.

COME ON BOYS!!!!

They're fundamentals and we have flagged in those areas a bit today.

The tackling is essential. He keeps fumbling it and giving it back to the Roos.

IMO, he's been terrible.

so no difference for me then.

Zxradio commentators haven't mentioned umpires but saying Melbourne just the better side, but not saying much

When did we last get a free for holding?

First free of the game was a holding free to Oliver. At that point the umpires said ' Okay, our job is done we've paid a free to Melbourne. We don't have to pay them any more frees. " And so it has panned out.

The umpires have to be kidding surely!!!

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
