  • Hang on - if Lycett is still unavailable - who would be better in the ruck against Gawn - Ladhams, Hoff, Hayes?
  • Max Gawn will beat us singlehandedly.
  • Even Buzza would've been a better option than current form Westhoff. At least you know he would've gone at Gawn with some aggression.
  • Gawn the big b*tch will be rubbing his moist [censored] knowing he could ruck just with his ******* head and still win the hit outs 100 to 0.
  • Ladhams will be slaughtered by Gawn.
  • I’ve got the VC on Gawn in SuperCoach.
  • Melbourne by 60. Gawn will skullfu** us.
  • Gawn would still be embarrassed by the way Lycett pulled his pants down last season and I expect he will go 100 mph from the first bounce down, so let's hope Ladhams and who ever his back up will be are up for it.
  • Gawn please use no lube on Ladhams. I'm expecting 100+ hitouts.
  • Gawn will rape us. Melbourne by 7 goals. We'll win 3 more games for the year and come 10th.
  • Gawn will pillage Ladhams.
  • We might as well have the centre bounce in their forward line. Gawn will do what Ryder did except he will play the whole game and their mids will destroy us. Good luck being a defender this week.

Ken

  • Season over. Ken's learned nothing. Sack Hinkley.
  • Old Kenny is the Human embodiment of putting a square peg in a round whole.
  • So let's recap:
    • Too short in defence,
    • Too slow in the middle,
    • Playing injured/tired players,
    • Picking experienced players that are way out of form,
    • Only 1 genuine tall forward,
    • Undermanned in the ruck.

In summary, what can we take away from this? [censored] if I know. Sounds like our Ken.

  • Yeah, our season is done. We'll lose the next 4 because Hinkley has learned nothing, and we'll then battle all season only to end up 9th. Sack Hinkley.
  • Tipping Melbourne. Pretty safe tip now. Sack Hinkley.
  • Classic Hinkley mentality - why bother trying to exploit an opposition's weakness when you can be equally as sh*t as them in that area? He really is a do nothing coach.
  • I would love to know if Ken overrules the other coaches to our detriment.
  • Mr 4 rounds of annual coaching ability is done for the year.
  • Nothing like doing the same thing over & over and expecting a different result. Classic Ken.

Everything else

  • Surely Watts gets a shot soon, he’s exactly what we need with McKenzie and Marshall both out.
  • Our defence is gonna get absolutely destroyed.
  • Melbourne have a lot of slow clearance machines as well, so I think Rockliff and Wines will go ok.
  • Port and the Dees should play for the Jack Watts memorial cup this week because I'm pretty sure he's dead.
  • I think Rockliff in is ok vs Melbourne due to them essentially being a slow, big bodied midfield.
  • Winning these next 4 games should put us in good stead for what is yet to come.
  • If I wasn't loyal to the club Id be betting my house on Melbourne.
  • I am keen to see what Watts can bring. Cannot be worse than the Hoff.
  • If Jack Watts’ foot is still attached you’d assume he comes in.
  • Not sure how it will go with wines and rock vs the explosive Oliver and Petracca.
  • Christian Petracca is in incredible form and will eat Tom Rockliff (and Wines and Boak for that matter) for breakfast.
  • This is the key ... But Melbourne are up there with Port in being their own worst enemy. I think the boys are stung from last week's loss, and will win this.
  • How many lives has Justin Westoff got?
  • Westhoff kicked 5 against the Dees last year. So there.
  • Hahaha, Westhoff rewarded for poor form. What a sh#tshow.
  • Gonna need a few drinks 4 this game.... and still wont make it enjoyable.
  • I'd drop Ollie but they won't so if playing against his old mate Viney doesn't drag something out of him he should go water skiing forever and forget football.

This is so homoerotic and unDemonland it's hilarious.

The second one is a cracker. I don't mind these Port supporters haha.

Classic.

Port's board has always been a good read.

Their version of MFCSS is early season success followed by mid to late season fade out.

Liked this summary.

Had not realised that Jack W was available.

Makes Demonland look rational and measured

A lot of sexual innuendo there... they seem like a more scarred bunch than Demonland!

Rapey tone notwithstanding, they are quick to turn on a team that’s top of the table!

Pear fans are real football nuffies

Honestly as a club they’re not that removed from us; past success v local league success, scarred by horrific grand final wallopings, consistently disappoint supporters

I know right! Season over and they're top of the bloody ladder, can we swap????

They must be a sexually frustrated bunch in Port Adelaide, lot's of sexual language. I gather they think that Gawn will have a good game, that or they think Max might just whip his manhood out on the middle of the Gabba.

Hahaha this is pretty funny. I honestly haven’t heard anything about Watts in ages. I assume he’s still back in Adelaide rehabbing his leg?

Haha that was a hilarious read!

use some lube Maxy!

Where TF is Watts??

ARENT THEY ON THE TOP OF THE LADDER??!?

Wowee. If that's what they're saying when they're top of the ladder, imagine what they'd be saying if they were in the bottom 6 like us.

There's no pleasing some people. Talk about hard markers. With fans like them you don't need enemies.

Love the conspiracy theory concerning Jack. Let's start a rumour as a deflection.?

Loved this. I actually laughed out loud and scared the [censored] outta my wife who was asleep.

Well, one thing that makes sure of - I really really want to thrash Port tomorrow night because the online meltdown of their feral supporters would be like breaking a lava lamp over a cat.

I'm not a monster!  But... it is a mix of fluids and waxes kept at 60 degrees... I'm a monster.

Made me laugh QD

love those comments?

Jesus, obviously a bit of mental scarring among that bunch. They do have a tendency to fall away in seasons, so I would love to see the comments if we get over them tonight.

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It’s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this year’s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
