We're lucky to still be in this, I hope we make the most of that good luck in the second half!

Our backline has been pretty great. But were smashed everywhere else, and the few times we got the ball, our i50 delivery not good, esp in that second quarter.

Umpiring some of the worst I've seen.

Brisbane are very good but we have missed enough easy shots to be in front, let alone the effect of the putrid umpiring. Weย need to come out fired up and make the first ten mins count. And Goodwin, fix up the clearances!

ย

Not that I think we are at our absolute best, but I think even at our best we arenโ€™t in the same league as teams like Brisbane. They are pretty slick through the midfield. Great stoppage work.ย

Good to see they have Lynch for totally impartial special comments.?

Tracs doing the most imo.

Our backline was massive to hold up under that. Getting nothing clean in that quarter from our mids or much pressureย from our half forwards. There mids are very good at negative first possession when we get it. Just need to get better value from the stoppages and and go back to more lowering our eyes into 50.

our backline was good but we're also flooding behind the ball.

I've been listening on 3aw.

I've never heard commentators talk so much about free kicks, both those missed/not paid and those paid wrongly. they are totally perplexed by the umpiring.ย

Unfortunately 3aw arenโ€™t mainstream enough and can get the umpire bias on the agenda

Yep lucky our defenders held strong considering our midfielders applied zero pressure on the ball carriers.ย

We have a major advantage with Max Gawn in the ruck. But we are getting smashed in the clearances. Fix that up andย we have half a chance.

How the F is that 15m, and that one, and that one, and that one?

When the umpires department is led by incompetents, every kick looks further than 15m

Melbourne need to ask for a please explain by the AFL for this terrible umpiring.

Hate to disappoint, but it's like this every match, every week. A crisis, ignored by the AFL brass because ???? who the [censored] can work out what they're thinking.

Still in the game thanks to our stern defence. Absolutely need to raise the contested ball and clearances and cut out the odd stupid kick. Couldn't care less what the umpires are doing get over it, just really need to get our hands on the footy.ย

Another [censored]

absolutely hates Melbourne too.ย

We donโ€™t have the leg speed to go with them, I fear a blowout in the final quarterย

That's because Brisbane's got the game set up in their forward half, which is what we'd prefer to be doing.

We have horrible system around stoppages, Brisbane are just walking it out of there.ย

Their coach worked under Paul Roos...

Hes awesome in the hit outs as per usual.

However i feel his marking around the ground has become a barometer of ourย team.

Hes had one a qrt.

Last week it was four times that. Still he cant do it all.ย

the umpires not paying chopping of the arms

Just can't see us winning this..

Brisbane are on another level unfortunately.ย

If one more commentator tells me itโ€™s Jettaโ€™a fault for leading with his head I will scream.ย
Find me a more courageous player you pack of soft flogs sitting in your warm studio passing judgement.ย
Jesus I canโ€™t with this.ย

To be honest Jaded he is leading with his head. It is brave but poor technique and to be honest, dangerous. Needs to change it.

Glad we have the HT break to regroup.ย  I reckon we show something this quarter.ย  Still probably lose we we cant roll over

Midfield got truely smashed that quarter

ย

Carrying way too many at the moment. Pickett, Bennell, Brayshaw..ย ย

Can someone explain what James Harmes role in the team is? is he tagging tonight?

Nathan Jones is finished, sadly, so Is Nev, great warriors, but a few yards off it.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
