Clintosaurus 7,953 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 I would say it is GWS in Round 8 and Sydney in Round 9, going by this: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/cats-to-face-freo-on-monday-night-in-round-eight-pies-v-eagles-on-sunday-20200713-p55bl9.html Quote

Webber 10,650 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 If the current NSW Covid cluster takes off, things are going to get tricky for the NSW hub. This flexibility the AFL talk about might soon have to be acrobatic. Quote
Diamond_Jim 12,778 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Given that there are now night games Thursday to Monday inclusive is it too much for our sponsors to expect some night time FTA cover. Another Sunday afternoon game I think against the Hawks... grrrrrr Quote

The AFL will no doubt be panicking about the rise in cases each day. Quote
DubDee 26,709 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 The AFL won't cancel the season until all states are in lockdown and also Manus /Christmas islands are ruled out Quote

We gotta beat them Quote

Our only chance is when we play a high number club like Collingwood or Essendon. Honestly we don't deserve a night game. 1 Quote

Demons11 7,151 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Surely if it’s our home game Brisbane should at least play us in Sydney. What a joke to play them on the GC. Brisbane are being handed the softest draw Quote

No matter how bad we are there are enough to go around. Seriously a night time win over the Hawks would be great for our future prospects. The next two against Sydney and GWS will probably be low rating fixtures win lose or draw PS.... I see we got Brisbane in a 6pm Sunday game... at least that's a start Edited July 13, 2020 by Diamond_Jim Quote
brendan 3,458 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Would prefer to Play the lions at Metricon they are a very good side at home Quote

The Jackson FIX 3,512 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Why not in Sydney if our home game? There is no other game in Sydney that day so can’t be a clash issue. Not only do we have to jump on a plane to play our home game in their state but we have to go and play them in greasy dusk/early evening conditions (which they are used to). Baffling. 2 Quote

Cards13 9,117 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Not sure what the complaint is, Metricon is 4 mins close than Blacktown from Manly apparently.. Quote

binman 44,856 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 That's alright. 6pm start means we won't cop the dew we would if it was a true night game. Metricon looks in good Nick too Am I right to assume we will then be in a QLD hub? If so not bad either. Nice and warm. Perhaps they could use the facilities, ground etc they use for their camp. A good group of dees fans up there too to cheer the boys on. 2 Quote
