Ok, they need to kick as many goals in the last as they have all match. We need to kick 2 and we win.

What a shame the umpires haven't improved their skills during lockdown. Razor Ray = still no idea.

Any danger in Tom McDonald doing something decent?

He’s been poor for a while now. Needs to massively improve

Rivers showing more composure than a few senior heads.

That is EXACTLY what we needed and need Petracca to be. Someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck when its in the balance.

100% agree. Been saying for two years he has got to be a bit more selfish and take shots himself, rather than always look to do the team thing and look for the pass (though he does that well)

Critical leaders goal

Melksham has been terrible.

Jetta still got it.

C'mon Dees find that first quarter form. Gawn BOG then Petracca, then Oliver then Langdon then Salem then Hunt

Nope, Smith has been pretty disappointing in my books

Smith is being played out of position.

He needs to be forward which is further reinforced by McDonald’s inability to provide a target.

I'll be putting ny phone away for 25 mins. Still can't handle the close ones

Loving Petraccas game. he looks dangerous every time he goes near the ball. With viney, if he gets hold of you you are gone.

It was meant for HB, but he wasn't expecting and ran forward.  lack of knowing your teammate yet.

Steady, you are Demonland, joy,  despair, ecstasy, vitriol, hand wringing all in the same minute

Expecting dispassionate observation?

How did he miss Harmes getting 50 and then getting blatantly blocked on his way to down to take the kick?

It's a clear second 50 and certain goal when we had all the momentum.  Ridiculous he let that go.

Hogan kicked 2 goals in the seconds game today.  Would prefer us to have at least one big target.

We're better off just kicking it along the ground and hoping for the best at the moment.

Now lets see about our supposed fitness

What has happened to TMac?

Totally bereft of confidence.

Is it just me or does Jackson have a completely confused look every time he gets the ball?

Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
