Little Goffy 14,966 Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 The facial hair makes him look about ten years older. Is that the source of his new maturity? Should he be going the full Gawn beard? Should the whole midfield? That would be a terrifying sight at a center bounce. 1 Quote

His super high ball drop has been a problem for his whole career. Also needs to learn how to kick straight at goal. At least 2 skills that still need a lot of work. Looking better as he gets older but still has some way to go. 3 Quote

Is this a sign of new found independence in Tracc. - - - - - - - Can anyone else see the similarity of this concept.. and the idea of Melbourne becoming truly independent. with new base.? Quote

Watch him in general play in a couple of weeks with his eyes as wide as dinner plates, holding the ball practically in front of his face before he drops it to his boot. He is improving and might actually become the really good player we all hoped, but he still hasnt delivered a huge game in anything more than pre-season matches so far. *fingers crossed 1 Quote
Pates 9,697 Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 Less games to make an impact so I hope he jumps right out of the blocks vs Carlton. I cautiously optimistic about him, hopefully it'll click for him, he seems to have the right attitude so it's about putting all the pieces of the Petracca puzzle together. 1 Quote

People grow, learn and mature at different rates. For some; I'm sure nothing will ever be enough, even when we do win the next cup (that's not directed at you). What is directed at you is the comment about a huge game. No, he hasn't delivered a huge game... yet. I put a bottle of Jamisons on Trac to have a better SC points average at the end of the season than De Goey and to increase said average by 15%. Now, if the season ended after one round I would be in possession of that bottle. At the end of the season if he is averaging over 100 SC points I will be very happy even if he hasn't had a HUGE game and we will have another big contributor to the success of the team. We all have our criticisms of the team and the players but I refuse to direct any of that at a player who has taken obvious steps to improve their performance. 1 Quote

Awesome. Seriously though your first sentence is spot on, although a bit obvious. OFC as MFC supporters we want all of our players to be champions. I also hope Trac becomes a gun sooner rather than later. He still has a sky-high ball drop in general play, and it needs to be fixed so he can deliver the ball consistently. If he averages over 100 this year i will be very pleased. No harm in hoping for 120 or more though is there? 1 Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,555 Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Even though he wants to play full time midfield I hope he still plays a percentage of the game up forward. We need all the fire power we can get in the forward line and it will allow Harmes and Brayshaw more time in the midfield. Quote

Expand it's interesting you say this, as they're slightly different sort of players i feel yes, they can both rotate forward / mid, but i think de goey is a better mark of the ball and trac's ground level ability is better than the goog's de goey is listed as 188cm and trac at 186cm, but from my understanding that's de goey's measurements from when he was 17 and he's grown significantly since then both have the potential to be game-changers for their sides Quote
dworship 3,343 Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 I'm still backing Trac to be a better/ more productive player and yes, I think he is developing into a game changer. My bigger point was really about how impatient we all are 3 Quote
