Rod Grinter Riot Squad 5,681 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Well this is [censored] news. Michael’s brother went fishing, hasn’t returned though the boat found: AFL player Michael Hibberd’s brother is missing following fishing trip in wild weather Thoughts to the Hibberd family. 1 6 Quote
RalphiusMaximus 6,112 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 That's a really bad place to be in the water. Lots of Great White Sharks hanging around near Seal Rocks. Quote
buck_nekkid 6,101 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 I hope they are found OK. This is a terrible situation, regardless of who they are, or the ‘advice’ they ignored. 3 Quote

Lots of Great White Sharks hanging around near Seal Rocks. There is no way they would have motored across to shark alley on the island, in a 10 foot Ally' boat. They must have gone fishing for squid and whiting, between Flinders and Shoreham. I don't like their chances, if they've been carried out into Bass Straight. Its been treacherously cold over the weekend. Quote
Demon Disciple 12,536 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 I fear the outcome is not going to be good for poor Hibbo. Through all the cr@p of a suspended season, he’s now very likely going to have to deal with the loss of his brother. 1 Quote
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Terribly tragic. Hope they’re both found alive and well. Quote
Ruffles 356 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Tragic news for both families. Considering conditions on Sunday, the size of the vessel and where it was found I’m not optimistic. Quote

Yep I can't imagine why they would have gone out in that weather given the size of the wind gusts and the swell. Quote
faultydet 7,623 Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Heartbreaking. Lets hope the Hibberd and deSliva families can have people nearby to support them at this horrible time. Quote

I understand where 'Fence' is coming from. The report said that both mens wallets were found inside DeSilva's tow car. And the doors were unlocked. Quote

Vineytime 855 Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 Playing great footy at the moment Hibbo, keep up the great work legend ? 3 Quote
Garbo 1,567 Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 2 spots left in the 8 imo pies and gws, if we loose tomorrow pies go 10 points clear of us and effectively tie a spot up. Not too worried about the ins and outs but I would say on balance I’d rather be in our position than theres list wise right now. If we are real contender just to make the 8 a win tomorrow is a must. Bring-Back-Powell 15,548 Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 Hibberd’s been outstanding this year considering the pain and suffering he’s gone through. His pace and kicking from D50 has been as good as it’s been since he’s been with the DEES. The true definition of a bounce back year. Well down Hibbo. 2 Quote
