Oliver and Brayshaw Lift!

Our new recruits look above our normal class and effort which is positive.

Don't worry horse, we'll drain that out of them in no time.

Despite the woeful first half, if we’re still in the game at 3/4 time, I think we’ll run over the top of them

The scary thing is we are still in the game. I don't think we could be much worse than we have been. Viney is the only one that can hold their head up high. Our pressure is non existent and we have fumbled and been careless with the ball. Is it time to drop Brayshaw he's been pathetic.

pickett looks good, a few better signs but need  alot more effort.  Im not sure if its the system the coach wants to play or our players are dumb but we really suck at times.

My mates in our messenger group:

“How funny was that“

“Who is that Gumby in the back line”

 “There he is”

no guesses Who they’re referring to.

They look totally flat.

I think the decision coming before the game got inside our heads.

They probably don’t believe it/not focused.

Just going through the motions.

Players look too hot and bothered. Someone please give them some silk fans.

Simply too slow for our gameplay.

We know it's going to come in quick with the way we play. I've never been a fan, but I'm sure another team (or a different game plan) would suit him much better.

Given we are flush with inside mids who can butcher the ball, why not trade him?

Gotta give something to get something.

Yet West Coast are switched on.

The opposition always fire up

We don’t.

Stop with the MFC excuses

This is actually a quintessential Goodwin coached game. Still holding on for dear life to a 2018 gameplan. We don't know whether we're coming or going.

Spargo and OMac definitely have some compromising photos of Goodwin...

Charlie having another blinder

2 x kicks to eagles palyers

1 x kick missed the target

1 x 50 metre penalty

Oh and 1 mark

I will go to the grave, hopefully soon if this is the best we can do afetr a solid pre season, not understanding how he gets a game. He is a project player that was unsuccessful- time to move on

We got rid of Frosty & kept OMac. FMD.

OMac has actually been one of our better players! Take off the blinkers.

With our superior fitness, can't see us losing from here.

Your right I will turn it off as well !

Difference between a truly professional organisation and ours Clint. They don't accept mediocrity, it's seemingly all we know.

Gawny appears to be protecting his knee. He has no spring and is avoiding contact with man mountain Natanui.

I don't blame Max. One game is not worth getting injured for, but the ease of WC clearances from the centre has killed us just as much as our witches hat game plan.

Disappointing. I was hoping to watch this game fir the next 10 weeks. Can't even watch it for the next 10 minutes.

The players can now see where they are at compared to a Top 6 team. Miles off the skills required.

looking at the brights side, all recruits except Brown at this stage, playing well. Kossie is a Jet. And i put $10 at 11:1 on Viney to get +30 disposalsdisposals

Thanks goodness the boys are not dominating and leaving us rueing the season that could have been!

Hibberd is the Brent Moloney of the backline. Just booooommbbs away every single kick.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
