Jackson, Robertson, Sharp

I hope Robertson will be there at pick 10. But this unlikely. I hope you are right. Fingers crossed

Pick 3 Jackson.

Pick 10 Weightman

Pick 28 Cooper Stephens

3 Green

10 Weightman

28 Pickett

Pick 3 - Green

Pick swap with Geelong.

Pick 14 - Weightman

Pick 17 - Pickett

I basically agree with this prediction although think it will be Jackson at 3.

Do I get half a poiint if we bid on him but GWS take him?

Just have this feeling GWS will be rapt to get Jackson, and MFC rate Green VERY highly.

What’s with the small forward obsession when we already have 4 plus blokes under 180 cm on the list who potentially should fill the role?

Because we need actual talent

Who are  the 4 blokes? Any of them any good?   Doubt it, as we have the worst small forward stocks in the comp

Yes it’s all fun and our desire for the Dees to get some quality youngsters.  Yet the “trolls”’ on other posts love to shoot others down and denigrate.

I’ve always been in the Hayden Young at 3 and Brodie Kemp at pick 8 camp. Young for elite ball use which would be a milestone at the Demons and Kemp because of superstar potential with strength and pace.

I would like to see Tom Green called at 3 and make Giants match it.  It appears unlikely so Giants will end up with two top 5 players

Obviously the popular view seems MFC picks as

Jackson at 3 , for a 10 year outlook as Gawn probably has the #1 ruck role for 5-6 more years       He didn’t play forward at the championships but JT says he can be a key forward , yet very raw footy skills. athleticism is his strength.

Weightman at 10.  Lively forward pocket.  Good skills but I think they’d be better options available at this pick like Kemp or Ash or Serong.

Pick 28 is a lottery to see who’s available.  Like to see either KOZZZY Pickett or ELIJJJJAH Taylor for their excitement. Small indigenous forwards are exciting. Like Jeremy Sharp as the running back or wingman or even a punt on Darcy Cassar.  Both Sharp and Cassar are classy runners with good pace and that much required skill.

Wait and see now.

Because none of them have proved their more than decent depth yet, because we've had a game plan that relied on frenzied delivery and key forwards 'bringing the ball to ground', and because we just delisted our most dangerous small forward who also lead our average goal kicking for 2019.

I’d be happy either way. Prefer if we nabbed Green though like you said.

Spargo - 2nd round pick - was a midfielder as a junior and his skillset - fitness, ball winner, get contest to contest, make smart decisions is that of a half forward flanker

Bedford - 4th round pick - flashes defensive and crumbing ability but is also a long way from AFL and more of a project

Chandler - rookie - junior midfielder with some forward craft but more of a 2nd best small. The Puopolo to a Rioli.

Lockhart - rookie - back flanker/mid/half forward flanker - ball winning and ball use across the flanks is more his go than dangerous inside 50 pressure and crumbing. Training with the defenders.

Not sure it should be pick 10 but we have to draft a specialist crumber and pressure player at some stage.

Assuming no live pick trades:

3 - Jackson

10 - Serong

28 - Taylor

3 Jackson

10 Dylan Stephens

28 Dylan Williams

Interesting option in Dylan Williams.  Great 2018 as a goalkicking half forward dominant as an underaged. Injury ruined 2019 but is very very good player if his body can get 100%.

Well then they should have been delisted, yes? But no we still believe they can contribute in some way while we intend to burn first rounder picks on small forward potential.

3. Green/Jackson

11/12. (allowing for Green/Henry bid) Serong/Kemp

28. Sharp/Taylor/Rivers

3. Anderson.

10. Kemp.

28. Gould.

Jackson

Pickett

Anderson

(Weightman / Pickett almost interchangeable)

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
