I have liked the way he ha splayed  for a few years, very good prospect that got injured at the wrong time for the Lions. Has got many great assets. I would love to think we are looking at him and getting him somehow. The good thing is that he uses the ball well (75% career ave) and is a great runner. Imagine him and Langdon in our side, we straight away have 2 serious gut running players.

Thoughts?

Yep. Adds spped and run. Would easily get a game on a wing for us.

Yeah, I like it. Can drift in and out of games but reckon that's mainly due to him being in/out of the Lions side. Not saying he'll be a star but adds something we lack and reckon he'd be a good contributor.

i agree, he runs hard, and is tough and has skills. Would be a great upgrade.

I think we might have chased him previously. He'd be a cheap get, I'm sure Brissy will have to offload some fringe players, because they'll have to play their young guns in the comings. Even if he wasn't immediate best 22, he'd be in our best 30 and good depth in a position we lack.

yeah i also think he was unlucky with the Lions hitting peak form this year and him having an injury. He is no star but he is solid and fits a need we have.

Knows how to run, and run with the ball, and kick the ball in the right general direction.

Yes please. Well spotted Demon3.

Spot on Goffy, i really like that he knows where to run as well which seems a silly thing to say, but i have noticed he pushes to parts of the ground to receive that opens up the ground. think he might be a smart footballer.

Tom Cutler would be best 22 easily on a wing, if fit.

He would be an upgrade on another recently recruited winger we have barely seen this season (KK)

"Brisbane look set to face a battle in order to keep fringe player Tom Cutler beyond 2019, according to the Herald Sun.

Victorian clubs are reportedly interested in acquiring the 24-year-old who has only managed three games this season despite a career-best year in 2018."

Victorian clubs linked with young Lion

Good call. Hopefully we are into him. Wouldn't cost much and would be around the mark for a best 22 spot, especially if KK doesn't get going.

Still, Dee3, we must try to think 'asset' rather than 'upgrade' - our grade is actually pretty low.

Get him a fourth rounder and I’m all for it.

Same dolts shouting down Ben Brown and the General Patton are touting this spud. Hilarious.

Real subtle Matsuo.

Draft pick 73 gets it done. Only because Lions will want to free up some lust space.

Cutler fits our needs. Fast. Gialkicker. Good size.  Wing or half back.  Good ball user.  Only squeezed out by Lions new midfield.

Sounds like better than we have currently. At 73 it’s a yes!

Have always rated him. Yes please.

Fringe 2’s player, we’ve got enough like this on our list, need quality not VFL players.

PASS.

Genuine question, but do you know much about him or just generalising? Plenty of fringe players go on to have good careers. He fits a need, would come cheap, and at the very worst would improve our depth which has been exposed this year.

Foot injuries make me nervous.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
