Everyone's allowed an opinion, and everyone should be heard. Sometimes right, sometimes wrong. Still need to respect that.

Unless of course you think missing half the preseason makes no difference. That's where I have to draw the line.;)

And people reading the opinion should be able to say "That's forken BS."
Binny sits here telling everyone that the sheet they're watching doesn't actually smell that bad.
Makes me think he could be some sort of MFC/AFL flunky the amount of drivel that he posts.

Well of course, that's an opinion as well.

I think most on here are starting to realise what they're seeing is as bad as what they're smelling. We stink, bad.

Connection, cohesion, fitness is the narrative from the club. Skills, strategy, selection not up for discussion.

You may be right. There are a few on here I think are 'club aligned'

This confirms what was evident at the start of the year.

Totally dysfunctional club.

Sackings needed across all levels.

Deadwood/parasites and time servers everywhere .

The other cost us two first round draft picks. Two.

Can't be bothered digging out the exact figures, but if you take into account the TOTAL value of the exchange using the points system, remembering we got a second and third round pick back (Petty and Jordon I believe) -  he cost us the equivalent of something like Pick 10.

Not that that really changes the point you're making, agree he could be a better kick - but hard to know where he stands given that he's missed so much footy and the whole team is so unconnected.

As you were.

I'll be back as long as we improve our skill levels over the summer. Some hidings to come for rest of season I fear.

That was the last chance we could hope to win. Now we have no chance in improving our position. All we can hope is to avoid the wooden spoon. Thank goodness we don’t have to play Gold Coast.

Gee...didn't  see this coming....oh wait..

I must confess i haven't  seen a min of this game yet as i recorded it. I enjoyed a wonderful  night out to dinner blissfully  ignorant of the scores and had others agree not to tell me. As they pity this poor sod of a Dee supporter they agreed.

And yet i already knew the outcome as it was so predictable ( as I and countless others could foresee )

Yep..see-saw til 3/4 time .. not much in it...run.out of legs.

Maybe im wrong...Badloss does havea plan afterall. ...well at least  a script. We follow it well.

Do i detect a few others starting to understand  what some of us here have been banging on about all year ( and more ) ?

There's  no joy in saying we're  useless. ..and by design. It's  just what is.

And it wont change unless........

OMac

Wagner

Wagner

ANB

T Smith

Baker

Hunt

VFL players, wouldn’t get a game in any other top 8 side in the comp.

Our depth & fitness killing us.

Disagree on hunt and too early for Baker. But Jones atleast must retire. McDonald needs to go.

So does our game plan. We need to go hard in trading for draft picks snd bring in some kids with good skills.

This season can’t end quick enough

ANB, Oscar McDonald are two players the club needs to be trade off or delist (ANB OOC this year). Grab some late picks and go to the draft and get some fresh talent as its quite obvious now we are miles off being a top 8.

The likes of the Wagner's, Smith, Keilty, JKH will all be delisted.

Agree on all except Oscar, who was terrible last night.

Went back and looked at some of the games last year and he was ok. Is he just having a poor season or is he not up to it, I am unsure.

I would like to see him tried up forward, to see if he can do anything there. I still think he needs another 5-8 kgs of muscle and that would be a priority if I was in charge. I think extra muscle would boost his confidence and give him every chance to make it.If that didn’t help and last night became his norm,  well then he would be gone.

I am now worried about Baker and Billy, who I like, but has too many injuries and when playing doesn’t get the ball enough.

Anyway we have some interesting decisions to make soon.

END ?? when did it start !!!!

Right on the money binman. He is sub standard as a kicker. He can take all the intercept marks he likes, but when you are simply gifting the ball back, it counts for f.all. He is a smarmy, cocky 22 year old who carries on like a 32 year old veteran and everyone was sucked in. He is easily let off, even though he is as bad a disposer of the pill as Omac and Wagners

The commentators fell into him and make a big mention every time he does something. He is a good player but no star. If he was he would have gone and shut down Josh Bruce when he ran amok. A massive investment by the Club and needs to lift big time next year.

His disposal was like all his team mates last night, terrible. Even Salem was poor.

However he is coming off a second acl and I think we just want him to get through the games this year to get some confidence in his knee and then to get back to his best next year. I think he continues to play the sweeper role this year, not the body on body role.

That sounds like the seed of an idea of a plan ... you know we don't do plans. Maybe if we'd just gone and attacked the ball even harder? Then he can run amok all he likes. He can't score when the ball is buried under a pack on the wing!

Too many B graders, and with our bookends out in TMac and May we just are not cutting the mustard.

My kingdom for some B Graders. We are essentially a team of C Graders with a handful of A & B’s.

This recruiting Guru really needs to improve as well.  At the moment he’s looking like a C as well.

I think they will keep Billy on for one more year. Apparently one of the most professional players on our list and coaches love him. Unfortunately the last 2 years he hasn't had a good ran at it due to injuries.

Honestly rather Stretch getting games on a wing then the Wagner's.

Sort of player who could do ok at a change of Club. Not sure he will do well with us though.

And this describes everything  quite succinctly  as to why we're  crud.

Its not injuries  per se....its about being an athlete and not a footballer

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
