I'll admit I had reservations about using a high first round pick on him but thank god we did. Absolute gun and doesn't need many touches to influence a game. To think he was only seen as a third rounder + to rookie chance until quite late in his draft year.

Liam 'Machete' Jurrah went alright aswell

Liam "The Walpiri Wizard" Jurrah thanks

Jurrah could of been anything. Once he learned the kind of physicality needed to play AFL he would’ve torn the competition open. You could run him in the middle when fully fit

Liam was one of my favourite players of all time.So sad when time came to an end.He would have won a Brownlow .

Liam “Hurricane” Jurra

This is the story

of the Jurracane....

Loved Liam

I know its dangerous to offer long contracts, but can we please put a 15 year deal in front of this match winning, show-stopping champion in the making,  Will take him through to 34 years old and make him a 1 club player.

Get it done Mahoney and Pert.

Mahoney isn't even at the Mfc anymore. How about we sought out Oliver first :)

Cyril eat your heart out, the boy will win us flags absolute leviathan.

Worth every penny and draft pick forfeited for him, North would be crying every time his name is mentioned and noggen bobs up on the TV.

Loved it when I saw the headline last week and in case a few missed it ...The Kozzie Show is...

I agree with you. A new generation of Melbourne supporters will be going to the Football to watch the Kozzie play. The membership department phones will be running hot on Tuesday. A very big week for the club next week. Keeping mind also the womens side is playing to get into the Grand Final.

tracking well for all oztrayan honours in just his second year

one less goal than other small forwards in fantasia, walla, and equal with shane mcadam from adelaide, but equal for tackles i50 along with jamie cripps and 10th for pressure acts (sparrow and anb also in the top 10 at #5 and #8 respectively)

kid is a gun

I don’t think he’ll ever have the presence of Rioli - particularly strength wise at contests.

But by geez, can he read the play and map out plays like nobody’s business!

What a weapon.

What an absolute Gunn is Kozzie he gets us on our feet and excited, he puts fear into the oppo backs.!!!!

There was a passage of play in I think the third quarter where he ran about 30 metres to put pressure on a GWS player with the ball.

The GWS player was under no pressure and had a lot of space but Pickett just rubbing at him resulted in the ball going out of bounds. One of the best pressure acts I have seen for a very long time.

The indigenous boys just take it to another level  Privilege to watch.
36 returns. Aaron must have a big smile ?

Have to say I was sceptical with everything we had to do to get an extra 1st round pick in 2019 and then we just used it just to get a small fwd, but now I’m so glad we did, not only did it fill a vital need he is an absolute gun to boot.

Looks three times fitter and three times more confident than last year.

Then again we threw him in the deep end last year. Jordan Lewis was right in his assessment pre season.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
