Short of being his manager or his old man I’m sorry DazzlerD but that’s not something you or anyone else can know definitively. Until the bell rings the stock exchange is open.

Suit yourself bro..

Get both of them - one on each wing. They are both exactly what we need. So long as we hold our first pick, I would be all for us getting Brad and Stephen Hill. I would even propose trading Angus Brayshaw and our second round pick, for Brad Hill and Freo's first round pick. Although, I don't think Freo would be silly enough to do that. Might be able to get a future first off them though.

Article backing up what i said earlier.. if Brad Hill ends up asking for a trade request it will be at Hawthorn and Hawthorn only.

why does he want to leave after wanting to go home and play with his brother and his team are on the up?

sounds like Denham BS to me

His girlfriend is from Victoria and she’s homesick.

There’s nothing conclusive in that article at all. As Brereton mentioned - Hawthorn may have other more pressing list needs. Things change. Plenty can happen between now and October.

Traded for pick 23 a few years ago. Is playing better now than he was then, but is also a few years older. Our 2nd rounder should get it done.

If the club is serious we should be doing everything to try and convince him to come over. Get his brother too as a free agent.

Keep gunning for Langdon as well.

Greg Denham just said on SEN he wants out of Freo and will be seeking a return to Victoria for the 2020 season. No club yet specified.

Triple premiership Hawk wingman, Freo B&F 2017, exquisitely skilled smooth mover. And still only 25yo.

Statistically 2019 is shaping as the best season he’s put together as well. Showing absolutely no decline in his output.

You’ll have to mount a pretty strong case as to why we should go hard after this player given his skill set is exactly what we need.

Start the bidding at our second round pick thank you very much.

And cue the negative Nellies in 3 - 2 - 1 ...

”He’d cost too much ... “

”He’ll only go to club X, Y or Z”

”Overrated ... “

”Off field problems ... “

Etc etc etc. Yawn.

No way. Too much baggage. He will end up walking away.

Not worth the oxygen. Ed Langdon is one of the only players that will come to us for next year because we have put work into him. We have messed up our hopes with a big fish unless we can blitz the second half of the year!

Hawthorn will now be assessing their entire list strategy moving forward. They have not taken quality kids at the draft in several years and now have an ageing group with holes in key positions they need to fill. Not convinced at all they would prioritise Brad Hill over other concerns, nor have the cachet to do it on terms that would satisfy Fremantle. He is under contract. Bell will demand a late first round to early second round pick or they will keep him.

Hill’s girlfriend being in Melbourne is the primary reason for wanting to return to Victoria. He can compromise and come to the mighty Dees. Send Goodwin, Jetta and JKH over there to have dinner with him at a nice restaurant in Cottesloe, invite Wizard Farmer as well and let the brothers pump up the tyres of the red and blue.

We can do this!

JKH?? For what? Get a VFL standard player to try and convince a gun AFL player only to be delisted couple of months later..

Lol management at its best...

We'll bring JKH to be his little bus boy, to wait on him by hand and foot.

Good thinking Dazzler. I like the fact that you’re now on board. Replace JKH with Gussy boy!

I'd get Brad Hill with a second rounder, but there's no need for the attitude at the end of your post. Just post your topic and engage properly.

I like you as a poster when you stay on topic and don't bait or get baited by others too easily.

Fair enough AF. Was just pre-empting the usual Wallys who turn their noses up at everything I post regardless of content.

either hill would perfectly suit our system, but as others have said the balance of time and effort put into ed langdon clearly has us chasing him, whereas the hawks have put in the work to recruit brad hill back for at least 18-24 months

if stephen hill has decided that he wants out as a result of his brother also leaving, i'd happily have him if we can't get brad, even though he's four years older and clearly prone to injury

The one who's spent a whole team of time injured and might not have the soft tissues to play a lot of footy on the wing or even half back might not suit us all that well!

I'd only want Stephen if he's a cheap free agent and only after getting one of Brad Hill or Langdon.

Brad Hill is the better over all player but even with Langdon's sloppy skills I'd be very keen on him. Stronger at the contest than Hill.

Either way, let's get a fair dinkum wingman so we can use Fritsch, Baker, Hunt and maybe KK through the flanks and build a running game.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
