Starts tonight.

After this round the ladder will be meaningful again.

Good to see Roughy is back for the Hawks - a bit of sentiment by Clarkson perhaps.  Allow him to play vs one of his best mates, Buddy one last time.

Geelong are woeful after the bye so Port might be good money at $2.80??

Reckon Brisbane might have another road setback, this time against St Kilda.

Sydney should keep Hawthorn to a very low score.

Hopefully Essendon get flogged tonight.

I absolutely detest Thursday night football (other than when the following day is a public holiday). I'm not ready for it and it also diminishes the enjoyment of football on the subsequent Saturday and Sunday because there is one fewer game to follow. Having it in the same weeks as some teams have a bye and there is football on a Monday (Queen's Birthday) just makes it worse as the football product just seems sporadic rather than intense.

But maybe that's just me...

Tonight: The Drug Cheats (2005-06) v The Drug Cheats (2012)

John Worsfold of course knows nothing about it, and as a Qualified Chemist I believe him....

Each to their own.

I like Thursday Night Footy. It Feels like the weekend has come early and it gives you something to look forward to during your Thursday work day.

Hopefully they can increase TNF from 8 this year to 11 next year.

it's an absolute disgrace "The Architect" of brushing everything under the carpet between 2001 and 2007 Trevor Nesbitt is still CEO.

He was told exactly what was going on by Ken Judge

I see the Bombers have been dealt the old Dalgliesh/Margetts in Perth double. Good luck with that lads!

Just talking to a mate about Margetts. WC must punch the sky when they see their number one ticket holder is umpiring.

Perhaps the “AFL Integrity Unit” ??? should look into it?

Seriously, it doesn’t look good for the (minuscule residual) integrity of the game.

Really the goal umpire can’t see that was a goal? It was a metre past the goalpost. Why pay them to even be there!

Righto, hands up, who really likes roaming knucklehead?

The half time promo for it was sickening. Basically telling viewers it's what they really want.

Personally I don't really care, some are good, some duds, but to ram it down our necks. Please. BT is a dead set clown though.

Absolute garbage. This game, the state of the game in general.

It really is. I switched over from last night's Wc v Ess game halfway the through second quarter to watch John Candy in the mid-80's comedy classic 'Uncle Buck'. I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't switch back again.

Only last halfway through the second of tonight's game. The AFL product quality is diminishing. It was never this boring in the 80's,  90's and 00's. The thrills are being suffocated out of it.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
