Viney must be playing injured - only 71% of game time yesterday.  This is par for most games this year.  Don't think we should carry him any longer.

Rest Viney.  We played some of our best footy in 2018 when Viney was out Oliver and Brayshaw were reading Max brilliantly and had great support from Harmes.

Rest Tom Mc.  We have Preuss to step in.  Appears to have limitations but must be better value than Tom at this stage.

Lack of full fitness is a reality but the time has passed fielding injured players who are clearly a liability.

We can't play both Spargo and Garlett because one of them will always be mismatched against a bigger bodied player.

Unfortunately, Casey have a bye this week so no chance for others to show their wares.

Out:  Viney (rested), Tom Mc (rested), Spargo or Garlett

In:  KK (if ready), Preuss, Lockhart

NB. Dunkley looked good on Sat but a bit early for him.  His turn will come before EOS

How many byes is that already? Same issue last season, we have a fit player in Stretch that will have played one game in 3 weeks.

I’d like to see Preuss get a game in a fortnight, not holding my breath though.

Also, Lobb ruled out for Freo for an extended period due to a stress fracture in the foot.

Bring in Preuss to run straight through Hogan, then they wont have a forward line either :)

I have never been more relieved to have a bye this week....

Don't really care who comes out, looks like Viney and Tmac are not fit...

But I think we need to get some games into KK & Pruess both of which could fill a need.

I would give the wing roles to KK & Baker for the year and see what they can do in the last 10 games.

Give Pruess & Max 10 games to work on playing together, see if we can make it work.

Keep May & Lever in to build chemistry.

Let Jetta, Melksham, Smith, VDB recover for the rest of the year and get them right for day 1 of the pre season.

IF Garlett and Lewis are not in the plans for 2020 then thank them for their services and not play them again.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few more games into Petty & Keilty.

Persist with Spargo because he CAN be creative he is just completely devoid of confidence...

Play Jones as a half forward and keep him there.

I still think we will likly win another 4 games minimum for the year and probably net us pick 3-5.... Lets prey we nail that pick, GET CONIGLIO and start pre-season the fittest team in the comp.

Had a big drop in form last season, and somehow got even worse this season.

Looks cooked.

Has lost his speed which was a major part of his game. Now gets caught with ball, or disposes under  pressure when in past he would have been in space.

I may be one out here, but i would keep Jeffy in the team. He is a one touch player, creates and is more capable than others.

I know he is a bit scared at times and a bit soft, but thats not our problem.. goals are our problem and he has kicked 5 in 3 weeks, 10 shots.. and goal assists

 here is some comparisons

JEFFY - 10 tackles and 5.5 in last 3 weeks. (leads tackles inside 50 for year and has played only 7 games)

HUNT  - 3 tackles and 3.4 in last 3 weeks

SPARGO - 8 tackles and 2.1 in last 3 weeks

TRAC - 7 tackles and 3.2 in last 3 weeks.

*Jeffy has played only 7 games, is 4th on goal kicking - cant understand dropping him calls.

Garlett must not play for the 1s again.

I think (and hope) we saw Gartlett's farewell game yesterday.  He's was a great pick-up for us, but I thinks his AFL days are over and now that our season is well and truly dusted, we should be getting games into others.

Play some kids,  keep rotating them every 2 or 3 matches.

Put any who will finish up this year,  in at Casey.  Accepting Lewis.

I want Lewis to play alongside any kids we promote,  so he can teach them and direct them,  'Live' on-field. This si why we got him in to the club.   This is his and our last chance to take advantage of his vast experience.

We don't have anyone better to do this playing coach role,  for the Kids.

Agree, if we are true to our word about playing out the season then Lewis must be seriously considered to come back in.

out- Garlett, TMac, Wagner

in- Dunkley, Smith, KK

B- Hibberd May Hore

HB- Frost Lever Jones

C- Salem Harmes Baker

HF-Petracca Smith Fritsch

F-Hunt Weideman Hannan

R- Gawn, Oliver, Brayshaw

int-  Viney, KK, Dunkley, Spargo

Salem into the midfield mix at times, Fritsch forward flank, and the inclusions of KK and Dunkley should improve our F50 entries. Jones to the HBF graveyard position, about the only place to hide him these days, a la Vince and Lewis before him.

I want to see forwards like Hunt, Hannan, Petracca and Dunkley rotated through the midfield more to give it a different look and some burst speed at times. more forward minutes for the mids like Oliver, Viney and Brayshaw to add a bit of fwd line aggression and try to win the ground ball inside our F50 (instead of Garletts backpedalling). with the added bonus of they might actually learn how to kick to the forwards, by spending time having to play as one.

Spargo under pressure with Lockhart breathing down his neck, but with only 1 game under his belt after a couple of weeks out injured, the bye comes at a bad time for him, so Spargo gets another game.

Like the centreline I think the side you picked is a week or two ahead of itself. All going well Dunkley and KK continue to play well at Casey for it to happen. I would like Lewis to be in for his generalship and teaching of the newies. Lockhart could replace Fritish or Hannan.

yeah I admit it is probably a week or two ahead of itself but i'm eager for change, can you blame me?

Like allot on here I would give those hampered by injuries an extended rest and play the decent kids like Lockhart plus throw in Lewis for on field general stuff. Keep KK and Dunkley at Casey for a couple more games then throw them in. Outs are those injured like TMac andViney

KK is at least four games at Casey away from the senior team. Personally I'd give him 6 at Casey and if he performs the last four or so at senior level.

Garlett is the tough one. For me he has has another 3-4 games to show he is worth a contract extension. TBH it's hard to judge any of the forwards at present as they are all under performing.

Petty needs another two or three games at some stage.

We have nothing to lose experimenting with Preuss for a few games.

JKH for Viney perhaps if he needs a rest.

kk has had one decent game at vfl level; he's miles off being ready

preuss isn't fit enough for four quarters of vfl, let alone afl

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
