Spargo to be BOG tonight - 28 touches, 8 tackles, 3 goals

IThat would more than double his stats this year.

Nah. Missus is a doctor. Checks the BP at every break.

Must be the first game Eddie has played without Jetta to smother his influence, at least for a long time anyway. He will be licking his lips.

Dam Hore has been a find this year. Well I guess we will see what JKH can do. I do fear what Gibbs, Jenkins ans Walker will do especially Walker after his criticism last week.

I have no idea what to expect tonight. But I would love to see some players find some form.

That is ok as Hore has never played in a winning Dees team in Darwin.

Are the Demons capable of coming out and displaying some shinboner spirit?

Have we changed our coach?

I just went to check on the Northport and Arden St Ovals.  Northport is apparently way too small (by 25M x 25M)...  and Arden st was recently extended to be the same size as telstra Dome.

Arden st has an outdoor pool,  and large office complex.

At least we wont have to put up with Razer Ray tonight making the game all about himself

Wouldn't wish anyone a blow to the dumplings but the way in which he was blown backwards like a Harry Callahan victim, replayed ad-neaseum had me pisss'n meself

Only hope is to get Roos sent to Tassie. Interesting thing which I have never understood  is why is the North Melbourne  FC in West Melbourne?

What’s on Gus’ arm? It looks like some sort of weird compression band.

Hore is a big out. His intercept marking has been one of our only assets.

Before we get underway, just a note that the inclusion of Hannan and JKH for their first games means we are now back in outright lead for 'players used' this season, with 36. Yay!

Salem outt!!!

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
