Garlett should retire at half time.  Brayshaw and Petracca suck.  Tom McDonald thinks hes  a superstar when hes not even close to one.

Goodwin has a lot to answer for.  Starting with selection. Another tall in Preuss to help Gawn and stretch their defense for example. Instead of another slow unskilled player.

This is nothing but a training run for GWS, no pressure just a leisurely stroll at the MCG.

[censored] Deesgrace. Play the rest of the kids, coz this year is done.

Put Lever in cotton wool and send anyone that needs surgery in now for the start of pre season.

Spargo 3 handball for the game.

Masterstroke selection there Goody..

Not switched on from the first bounce & yet again No name kids wearing weird Orange jumpers are pushing us around and bullying us like babies.

Nothing short of a line in the sand response in the 3rd quarter will do. Screw the fallout & consequences our existence is depending on this response.

Chances of going goalless in the second half?

even with injuries, nothing can excuse performances like this, and yet Goodwin and co continually do so.

Head rots from the top and it is quickly infecting our playing group.

This is just looking for a scapegoat. Sure, it's frustrating, but the problem is that half the team has hardly touched it, and when they have they've butchered it, not something something Goodwin or something something selection.

Playing Preuss would not have made any worse that’s for sure

they probably will not review this game either. Know what we are doing wrong

every thing!

Forget the talk about our poor forward line and backline. Our heralded midfield is getting smashed. The worst display since the PF.

Junk time hasn’t even commenced yet. Can’t believe my eyes that quarter, so many jogging around just pointing to GWS players.

Yes, because we have so many players running round at Casey just crying out for selection.

This is about as low as it gets. All the [censored] we’ve gone through, then get that [censored] tease glimmer of hope last year, to all hope completely gone again. That’s why MFCSS is real, it’s always too good to be true.

The hardest part about watching this rabble is how easy the opposition make it look. Even at our best we did things the hard way, it’s not sustainable. GWS having a training drill out there and we have no say in it.

Having a bunch of ordinary VFL players out there doesn’t help, but no system, no inspiration and next to no skill is just the most deflating [censored] I’ve seen in a long time.

We should be way past this sort of stuff. Monumental failure.

Start again before it becomes another decade of darkness.

No Pruess is absolutely criminal.

Our entry into the forward line is D grade Amateur footy level.

Not a forward defensive bone in our line set up.

I just removed Fritsch from my favourite players that’s how angry I am.

Cop that Bayley.

Of course. We are horrible in every aspect. But we have one clear advantage today which is the ruck. Gawn is dominating and he has to spend so much time down back. Imagine if Preuss could do some ducking and Gawn could be a forward target for all those useless high bombs?

I was really disappointed pre season that other commitments would mean I would get to very few games this season but I bought my membership in hope and for support.

Sadly the club / team has dishonoured that support and I doubt it will come again soon

Absolutely pathetic “effort” on the field and pathetic selections set it all up.

Where are the standards set by Roos and Jackson???

Said at quarter time I couldn’t imagine us playing any worse. My bad.

Well let’s reverse the situation and take 10 of their best 22 out and put our 10  back in, would there be a difference?

Aside from that our disposal is the worst in the AFL.

Also none of our mids have had 10  possies in half a game.

Any wonder that this injury ravaged, non skilled team is being beaten by one of the most talented teams in the AFL.

That is as positive as I can get.

Swear I just saw Neeld in the back row of the box over Goodwin's shoulder. I swear it was him!

Absolutely getting smashed with the ground balls.

We are way off in intensity...

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
