Every laying into Garlett - he’s kicked three goals and setup another. Jesus never perfect and misses sometimes, but he’s one of the most efficient and productive forwards going around. He’s the most proven goal kicker we’ve had in a decade. Just enjoy him!

Spot on. He seems to get held to a different standard does Jeffy.

Noooo Noo nooo we are playing kissed on the [censored] west coast in Perth there is no chance of that happening!

How obvious was that free?

If we lose this I’ll be [censored] ropeable! Should be 5-6 goals up here.

I know “you take the good with the bad” with Petracca but seriously his skills are at times below VFL level. He’s turning into Bugg where he gets the chances but does sweet FA with them.

Oh my god that was a great 3rd quarter but bloody frustrating. Easy shots missed, Tommy what the hell was that attempt when you kicked it out on the full easy marks dropped yes Im looking at you Christian and lack of communication between Hunt and Jeffy.

Oscar has been well beaten by Kennedy.

We just need to play another 30 minutes of good footy. We deserve to win this. We have dominated and been in front all game.

Draft picks?

My wife not a football follower watching with me tonight summed it up perfectly regarding petracca. . He does five bad for every one good. He is the everything this team represents at the moment. Try so hard look great in the build up but can't finish the work

we still need to win this, and can. just need to be a bit cleaner with our ball movement. this is by far the best we have been playing this year. keep on playing like this and we may well play finals football again.

Hes lost all confidence, the play there was use pace take a bounce draw the player handball to hunt. How far off is hannan?

We need 2b more composed letting Kennedy get that last goal breaks your heart in the last 90 secs. Oscar shouldve gone back on him. Jones & Garlett have fluffed so many kicks it's like Jones is purposely picking out West Coast players. If only them & Tom could kick straightforward

Agreed. Trac is the one thats killing us with his negative mindedness and subsequent silliness

well, we have turned a corner in many many respects this game - irrespective of the outcome.

Not much chance of Viney returning to Victoria with leather poisoning

Looks like hes been given a role and is focusing on that, i know yeo's had a bit of influence and harmes moved to him at some stoppages that qtr, but viney seems to be holding a defensive position at stoppages and not getting sucked in. Its what we've been crying for all year.

Kinda funny reading some of these posts - like we're reigning premiers with one or two players on the injury list.

I'm the most constipated poster but sheeeeesh gotta love the way we're playing spraying aside

To be fair he had only 3 touches in the first half so yea he got bagged.

Great to see him lift.

Didn’t get hands on it, had to be unrealistic attempt. Guess rose coloured might be in play

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
