Best thing about that is, if Carlton aren't in for a painful day, then with the way expecations are going, Collingwood will have to be in for a long painful day instead.

The perceived mismatch is so great that there is almost a zero-sum game for supporter angst - every moment of relief for Carlton adds an equal amount of frustration for Collingwood.

These first quarters are so low scoring. Yawn...

The perspective is just too flat - makes the game look even more congested than it really is.

The Blues beating them on the ground and in the air.  Their closing speed is cutting down the Pies and their usual space/time to make good decisions with clean disposal.
