The only Wagner I'd bring in is Josh. He can play half back and release Fritsch to play forward.

If Preuss is okay then he comes back in. Will they have the guts to drop Weideman?

Outside of that, there isn't much else at Casey, while May, Lever, AVB, Hannan, Joel Smith, Nev etc all won't be ready for the Hawks game.

Wèed needs to go with TMac back in the forward line, play Kelty or Petty down back.

Retire Lewis, say goodbye to ANB and work from there.

Pruess for Weids (if fit).

Decide on other changes after Casey plays.  See if anyone puts their hand up.

As a minimum we need to replace ANB whether injured or not.  Very surprised he was called on for last night.  By all reports he didn't show anything in the match before the under 18s fiasco.

Makes you wonder where Goody's head is at bringing back someone completely out of form into a team where so many were already struggling.

Goody did one smart thing last night .. Melksham in the middle.. suddenly someone who can kick... Viney Brayshaw and Oliver in there is killing us all three just give it away either by foot or hand ... perhaps just change it so every centre bounce is Max Melksham Salem and Stretch ... others like Gus and Olly (who could start on the wings) and Jones can play on ball after the bounce and Stretch and Salem go onto the wings ..

Weed needs to go back to Casey to work on his game and he can be tried at CHB to develop bits lacking in his game at the moment...bring in Preuss or Keilty... TMac was better , although limping in last quarter (toe?) keep him back ...Jones? Viney? Trac? Lewis? Too many blokes we are trying to hide..

When under pressure people go to their favorites.

You want to drop the Weid?

No No say it ain't so.

I'd bring in either petty or omac, and send Frost forward to play directly on Sicily. He's there main intercept player so make him accountable, Frost is a liability back anyway but can stick to a player. Garlett did nothing, barley chasing which at least ANB does. If Preuss is right then him in for tsmith, otherwise surely we should look at keilty.

So, petty or omac for garlett and Preuss or keilty for tsmith

Some time to pause and reset.

Send Viney if fit to half back.  Give him time to man up, tackle and dispose of it without being panicky every time he goes near it.

Send Weid to a wing.  Put Brayshaw on the other.

Have a forward line of Preuss, Keilty, Smith, Frisch , Melksham, and try Bedford.

Lewis and Jones both out.  Petty, Frost, Salem, Hunt, Viney and Hibbard as back 6

Middle of Gawn, Oliver, Harmes, Maynard.

Bench of TMac, Stretch,  Trac, C Wagner

Weid is not doing the job but do we have someone to replace him?  For the moment T. Smith has his place, he can take a mark and kick a goal. It looks like Viney and ANB are injured and should miss rather than play injured. They need to be replaced with running players. The cupboard is bare. We only have the Wagners and other running players that have less experience. KK only runs one way. Preuss is not a key position target because he is as slow as a wet week and can really only play one position. Lewis and Jones are done and should not waste their records with a too late retirement. Seeing great players past their use by date is sad and embarrassing. If they both retire could it open a couple of spots on the list for the midseason draft?

A good organisation would at least have a respectful conversation with Jones in particular and Lewis. Obviously they will say they want to see the year through and help out with experience. Perhaps that is best but a conversation should be had.

Preus in for Weideman, won't even present for an option. Why was Garlett picked when he has been out of form for 12 months, has one good game in the VFL against a side that is likely to finish on the bottom. Couldn't believe the amount of people clamouring to have him in the team. Those that think Jeffy was the answer were asking the wrong questions.

Garlett provided run and good link up work up the field, it is not his fault the delivery into the forward line was crap. Tim Smith is so much more versatile and mobile than Preuss and arguably shown that he has been our best forward target we have had all year. Preuss may be of use resting forward, he is so slow though. Frost has been our best back so far this season. It is run this team needs more of. If you are going to sacrifice a forward to play on Sicily then you are playing into their hands and Sicily has won the battle. The way to beat Sicily is to have a good forward make him have to earn it.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
