The answer was last year 'BBP'...we failed to address the problems of the prelim.

Goodwin thought we didn't bring our brand that day...we did and it wasn't up to the standard required.

So then we didn't address the real issues over the off season.

We thought May was the last piece of the puzzle and we were wrong.

We expected a natural progression forward and again we were wrong.

So the players are not happy with the coach who just got a five year deal only this year?

Happy days?

MFC-  Maddeningly Frustrating Club

ME -   Down, Gloomy, Glum

So angry with this club, actually thought before season started it was the best list we’ve had since I’ve been around, and that’s over 50 years. Was telling people, and bragging about, how we were gonna win flag this year! What a frickin’ embarrassment they are, been embarrassed most of my life barracking for this pathetic bunch of Prima donnas, bit never been more disgraced and disheartened in all my miserable days of supporting the Melbourne football club. To me they looked as though they gave up in the 3rd quarter, don’t know what Goodwin is doing but it ain’t frickin working, if we come out on Wednesday playing same way he should resign, that’s quit not re sign! #gutlesswonders

55 forward entries for 7 goals, what a waste, our bottom nine worse than their bottom nine, we are butter fingered dunder heads.................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weid can’t mark it then can’t compete on the ground, Mc Donald is injured and slow and also can’t do either of those. Then we have spargo as the crumber who is slow and ineffectual. So it’s like we’re 3 men down in the fwd 50 at every entry. I love hunt but he’s not the answer up fwd. so 3.5 men down. Six v 2.5 . Quite frankly I’m amazed we even scored 7. Remember 2 of them came from Preuss in the 1st qtr and one was a freak mark from Melksham.

Wed evening is going to be a 100 + debacle. IF that happens we’re about to find out a lot about our coach and his capacity to keep the group together.

I find the reversal in TMc form hard to fathom. He’s a very good player, but simply can’t find it. Surely there is a problem here.

Add him to the long list of players who build a good reputation and get paid by the MFC approaching their peak years, only to regress  (in terms of what they contribute to to the team). The list is huge.

It's hard to fathom how inconsistent the output is from players with solid experience. The whole idea of experienced players is that you're supposed to get a solid baseline. So when they're out of form, you at least still get a contribution to the team from them. For my entire time watching this club, we get performanes from experienced players that look like they've never played a league game before.

This is one reason i will always love the contribution Nathan Jones has made to this club. He is an exception in that through his peak years he seemed to work harder and harder and get better and better.

Salem:  The Lone Ranger.

Our best again yesterday.  Consistently good in most games this year.

What an absolute [censored] embarrassment. Never thought I'd be justifiably copping it from someone who supports Gold Coast, but I am. That's as low as it gets.

At least Gold coast have players who will have footy smarts , have PACE and a coach who has a few clues!! We are berefit of all of these factors

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
