Yep.

ANB has to go.  Surely his time has come.  Stretch might get a look in for him, or Garlett.  In fact I'd like to see Jeffy in the side.

Frost and Oscar should go, too... but who for?  Unless they send Tom back, we don't have anyone else.  Edit - Totally forgot about Petty.  Hopefully he plays well for Casey on the weekend and gets a run.

What about Preuss?  Maybe Keilty gets a look in?

I dunno really.  No idea where to start.

Time to make the toughest decision and drop Jones. His time is up.

Jones and Viney both struggling

Out season 2019

In forward planning for 2020

OUT: ANB, O. McDonald, Weideman,  KK

IN: Petty, T. Smith, Preuss, Stretch

Team and positions they should play:

FB: Jetta Frost (Franklin) Hibberd

HB: J. Wagner Petty (Reid) Salem

Centre: T. McDonald Oliver Harmes

HF: Petracca Melksham Fritsch

FF: Lockhart T. Smith C. Wagner

Foll: Gawn Viney Brayshaw

Int: Preuss Jones Stretch Hunt

I don’t want Frost in the team but he’s our only option for Franklin.

Weideman . Lockhart. Jones. Just stay in

Weid still not strong enough, gets pushed off his line far too easily.

What's the point in naming ANB and Oscar as out. Goody absolutely loves these 2 spuds and will not in the world ever drop them.

Makes me physically sick knowing they will play next week.

Out: T Mc (rested)  In: Preuss/Keilty take your pick
Out: Weid   In: T Smith
Out: Oscar  In: Petty
Out: KK   In: Stretch
Out: ANB   In: Spargo/Baker/Garlett/Sparrow whoever.

The three who need to go are ANB, Oscar and Jones.

Unfortunately, Jones being captain makes it nearly impossible for us to get him out of the 22, whilst I fear that Goodwin's stubbornness and favouritism means the other two won't be dropped.

ANB will have a good game in Round 15 thereby justifying the 14 putrid games before then. So, we are stuck with him

Yuk!

Outs: Anyone we dont want injured.

 Ins:  Early post-season surgery

         Positional experimentation

         Questionable rotations

         Forwards playing back

         Backs playing forward.

Only joking, we already know that doesnt work in the long run.

(Besides, it wouldnt happen until AFTER we lose the next 2 matches :roos:)

Frost on Buddy next week. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Buddy will kick 15-20 goals.

Pending any injuries out of the vfl hit out...

OUT: KK, T Mac, O Mac, ANB
IN: Spargo, Petty, Garlett, Keilty

jones and frost both deserve to be dropped, hibberd and fritsch borderline the same, trac was better this week than last week but could probably still go...unfortunately there's really not much to come in

KK looks like the second coming of Cale Morton

B: Jetta - Frost - J Wagner
HB: Salem - Petty - Hibberd
? Fritsch - Brayshaw - Harmes
HF: Petracca - Weideman - C Wagner
F: Spargo - Melksham - Hunt
Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney
I/c: Jones - Stretch - Garlett - Keilty
Emerg: Preuss - Hore - Sparrow - Jordon

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
