Also being VERY patient waiting for the right option to hit up around the back or on a shallow forward entry. Alternatively they kick it low and flat to the hot spot (more so than bombing) if they have to under pressure in a play on situation. They clearly have a game plan, most players know their roles and play accordingly and they are extremely fit and well drilled. Barring injuries to key players they will make the GF IMHO. Agreed. They have been very good. I’m amazed Richmond are this close Quote
whatwhat say what 23,855 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 is de goey the best full forward in the competition? Quote

sue 9,277 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 umpiring pretty woeful. Wrong frees or missed frees too often 1 Quote
Diamond_Jim 12,773 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Great game.. Cox may be better than I thought Over umpired as usual and to miss that throw on 3/4 time was almost criminal 1 Quote
Dee Zephyr 19,311 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Big effort needed by the Tigers in the last. GWS away and Port away the next two. Could they go 1-3? 3 Quote

I commented last week that Petracca looks like he has put on a bit of muscle and looks bigger. But yes he has been around long enough now where he needs to start having breakout games. He needs to have an impact. I hope we see his talent shine through. I mean he was the number 2 pick in the draft and DeGoey was number 5. DeGoey is way in front at the moment. Quote

praha 11,267 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Petracca and Degoey are completely different players. Please stop comparing them. Anyway, watching how both Collingwood and Richmond play the MCG it really stands out to me that Goodwin's gameplan needs further refinements. When we lose on the MCG we seem to lose the same way. We get smashed in uncontested possessions and marks. If we were playing Collingwood tonight, we would comfortably lose by 10 goals. We're still at least 12 months off it. We just can't fill the space at the MCG. We're not winning a flag or getting close to it until we start consistently owning that ground. We weren't just bruised and battered on Saturday. We were tired and slow. 1 Quote

Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Collingwood can play run and gun and they can control possession. I wish we could control possession like this. 1 Quote

Dee Zephyr 19,311 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Does Grimes get a week for the high hit on Elliott? Or, nothing to see here because Elliott is a tough cookie and got up straight away. 1 Quote

Adam The God 30,730 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I'm on the Degoey train now. What a finisher. This is what he has on Petracca. I can't recall our boy kicking that one around the body ever. Degoey does it with his eyes shut most of the time. If Trac is going to reach his potential, which he certainly can, he needs to return to his 2017 finishing. Statistically they're similar, but right now, Degoey is a finisher and Petracca is not. 1 Quote
At Least I Saw a Flag 5,353 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Rance and Houli not playing, Reiwoldt injured and Martin well held. They've had a dream run with injuries for years. Had to end sometime. 5 Quote
