If Mays bump is the benchmark, that Bloos bloke has to get a week for his off-the-ball bump on Reiwoldt

Absolutely

How many years in a row has this happened, too?  When do the AFL stop gifting Carlton this game and actually give it to a team who could make it competitive?

I know I'm going early as the Blues might make a come... nah, who am I kidding.

Rather like Druggies v Filth ANZAC, this became “traditional” after about one or two years.

Walsh is taking to it like a duck to water. Gets plenty of it, just needs to tidy up his disposal

Bruce - "it was Carlton's lowest ever 1st quarter score vs Richmond if you can believe it"

They scored one behind. I mean Bruce there's only one other possible answer is there...

Having a bit of an analytical look at the game...

The Tiges really struggle to get clean ball from centre clearances.

If they can't sort it out they're not winning a flag this year...

Richmond vs Carlton -  Game has started so my predictions are irrelevant.

Collingwood vs Geelong - Pies by 27

Adelaide vs Hawthorn -  Crows by 20

Western Bulldogs  vs  Sydney  -   Swans by 15

Brisbane vs West Coast - Coasters by 24 (But i really want Brissy to win, they should be quite good this year)

St Kilda vs Gold Coast  -  Saints by 1

GWS  vs  Essendon  -  Giants by 36

Fremantle vs  North  -  Norf by 12

As long as we win, the other results won't matter to me one bit tbh. Much as i suspect every other AFL supporter thinks.

Your predictions are irrelevant whether the game has started or not, who cares.

When do we play Carlton? ?

Another Tom Scully. Runs hard but absolutely butchers it.

Interesting to watch a couple of their kids 'dazz'

Will be good players but nowhere near the class of Oliver.

Walsh is struggling with the pressure of the game and will settle.

Oliver took to it like a duck to water, plenty of time from game one...

Tigers went into sleep mode during that quarter. Only reason why carlscum are " in it " Bump on revolt was nothing.

I can see a fair few Tigers getting poleaxed this season. Their manic 'go forward' running leaves little room for awareness. A couple of times they've been hit solidly, it'll only takes some better timing to clean someone up.

Love having the Blues open every season.  Such an exciting competitive team full of guns.

Give them every Friday night too.

Gets 2 weeks for not hard enough....

Curnow will be another Jesaulenko in time and Carlton will be more than competitive including finals in 3/4 years.

Thanks for that Jezza

Prancer really is very ordinary one on one for someone so “speshhall”.

All I can say is: Footy is back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rance is a diving pansy.

Twice he had normal contact and fell over like a weak [censored]. Then the umps fell for it!

Blatent dives that he should be fined for but nothing will happen! Infuriating

I'd love someone like Jack Higgins in our forward line.  Little ripper of a player.

There is certainly room Wise, lets hope someone stands up.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
