Wow.

My Uncle died last week. He was a massive Tiger man.

This game will be hard to follow

R.I.P. Uncle Grant

Go Demons....

Pretty impressed with our start, although I'd wager it may drop off with the heat factor, but we are on top in the midfield and we are generally taking our chances.

Seen enough to know 666 rule will see us kick quote a few cricket scores this year.

Tom Sparrow and Keilty 0 mins that quarter,... interesting

I am calling it early. Preuss is not really any good.

I thought Preuss was dominant in the ruck

good on field leadership by clarry that quarter when tigers were coming hard. he took the mark at CHB and could have easily played on but slowed play down instead. passes to angus, he kicks long down the line, reset again then bang, bang, 2 goals for us in 2 minutes.

They'll get a run in the second half I'd say, with a couple of our senior players getting a rest.

Commentator just said both sides have their main players in it......uhhhh

We're missing VDB, Gawn, Viney, Hibberd, Jetta, Lever, May, Jones, Lewis, Melksham and Hannan (i count at least 9 of our best 22).

Tiges are missing Grigg, Castagna, Lynch and Caddy from their best 22.

A few missing from Tiges, a lot from our side, commentator clearly has NFI

Not unhappy with that. Looked clean which is a great sign in JLT, especially in close.

Now no injuries and no blow out loss and I'll be happy.

Good to be posting on DL again after the summer hiatus :)

Fair indication of our midfield depth with plenty out but we have an onball trio of Brayshaw Oliver and Harmes...

Anybody know how to get rid of the stats screen on my tablet, and have the video full screen?

You watching using AFL app? That's the way it is now. They don't give you the full screen

Trac is a much better shot on the run.

He's like Robert Redford as The Sundance Kid

Good quarter. It is a pity the commentators talk too much rubbish.

He's no Max, but he'll quickly become a very handy addition to our side.  If he can hold his own up forward then he can feast on the oppositions second ruckman when he gives Max a rest.

Most out there from our backline. Which is a bit what we're seeing - rest of the field looks pretty solid, backs not so much.

Oliver is Oliver, but with the stunning emergence of Harmes and re-emergence of Gus, our midfield bats very deep.

Pruess’s ruck timing is way off, needs to fix it fast to get that second ruck position.

Spot on, bing.  Many of their scores came from a turnover or missed spoils.  That won't happen nearly as much with the first choice defence in there.

Annoying, at least I don't get the Iphone view anymore, and at least I watching the game, not whinging just asking

Hoping Trac can work on his set shots. He’s great otherwise and could be such a damaging player for us this year.

We look to have good depth through the midfield. Preuss has been fairly poor though. Opposition ruckman have just been taking it out of the ruck against him. Harmes and Brayshaw both look like continuing on from last year and dominating again.

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
