Hunt is a professional athlete like Jordan and Tiger Woods.

Was it a fluke when Jordan jumped from the foul line and dunked it?

Was it a fluke when Tiger hit a 30ft put to win the under 16 world championship and announce himself to the world?

Honestly one of the worst posts I have read on demonland and I have been reading since the merger talk.

Comparing Jayden Hunt to Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan is the stupidest thing I've read on Land ever.

Leo Barry fluked a mark once.

If a professional athlete does a dead on the field it is part of their craft.

Hunt’s torp was one of the greatest kicks I have seen. Up there with Blights.

Nice spelling/grammar.

It was a great kick. It does not make his foot disposal great overall.

Let it go. You look foolish.

Only one looking foolish is you. Was a deliberately kicked torp after the siren that went through post height from the wing a fluke?

Welcome to highlight all my grammatical and spelling errors it doesn’t help your poor arguments.

Hunt is a conundrum.  He does have genuine AFL attributes.  He's like a cricketer who needs to hone his game and remove the errors.

It's a coaching and development challenge, but I like what Hunt offers and can see him still being an important part of the team.  There's no reason he still can't improve.

I think the club holds a similar view 'Pro', as do I for what it's worth.

Any talk of a trade was quickly knocked on the head...

I look forward to seeing what he brings this year.

Hunt is highly regarded by Goodwin and co. - how do I know this? (Considering this isn’t coming from a board member I ‘know’ nor talking to staff at training...)

Because they played him against Sydney after being out for an extended period. They rushed him in because he’s a point of difference or just better than similar players we have.

He will earn his games this year that’s for sure. The wing/HBF will have some pretty handy players fighting for spots; Lewis, Jones, Stretch, Fritsch, KK, Salem, and Smith with Hore and Wagner behind those above. Some will have to find a place elsewhere or stay at Casey.

If Hunt can return to form and claim the other wing we could go from no/average wings to seriously dangerous wings. Hunt for elite pace, KK for elite kicking. Here’s hoping one or both of them can stay injury free and build consistency!

Some great upsides to look forward to with these two, LT.

Some great upsides to look forward to with these two, LT. Thinking of Hunt, in particular, he may well be an answer to a role for a 2nd wingman/outside mid. His pace contributions are best when in possession of the ball - and the related gaining of ground before disposal by hand or foot. However, his pace and such an opportunity for ground with such pace is not fully utilised when it might well be - certainly more frequently than running 'with the ball'. He should be given opportunities to run to space the receive, himself - and he is a mighty kick when lined up - leading an opponent metres behind as he dredges space on the ground with that pace to receive within that space. He is an all-out attack machine in this role.

Was KK recruited to play on the wing?

Hard to say, he was probably recruited for outside run but they were probably were hoping his defense and contested ball winning was a bit better. From what he has shown so far we can only really risk him as a forward at the moment.

You recruit players because you think they have the right traits to play the game not especially one position but yes he spent the whole summer training with the mids to play wing and looked pretty good in uncontested drills at training. The groin injury was a set back and he had 2 pretty awful games. Plus the concussion issue raising its head again (pardon the pun).

Need to sort that out and get him playing consistent footy in the VFL, anything more than that would be a bonus for this year.

Reminds me of a non-descript or unmemorable player of the early 80's that played 12 games.  Yes he may have kicked 2 (joe the gooses) when we had a 4 goal breeze against the lowly Fitzroy at the G on a sunny day, but ....meh.

Hope I am wrong.

Injuries aside the Suns did not fight hard to keep KK. Was a little surprised by all those who over the pre season had him as an automatic best 22.

He might make it but at present he is just showing how bad our fringe players in this area are. Can anyone remind me how long the initial signing was of KK.

Hope he makes it but I'm not hanging out for it. Same for that matter goes for Stretch who we all hope makes it but the signs aren't good.

It doesn't look good the same problems he had at Gold Coast hasn't come on like we hoped, no longer in our best 22 (if he ever was, he was in mine). Hoping he can overcome his issues but it doesn't look like it at this stage.

Nice of you to give him a bit of time... please remind me of how long he’s been with the club and how many games he’s played at any level.

80 games is enough to make an immediate impact and he hasn't with his 2 underwhelming games and now he has his concussion issues again as I said it doesn't look good you don't get much time in football.

Give him time. He's had only 2 games with us and hasn't played much footy over the last couple of years. Will get a mix of Casey and senior games this season (injuries permitting).

Was a sensation in his 2nd year, that ability doesn't just disappear.

Only a fool would write him off at this stage

Yeah, sounds like a guy who came third in last year’s Brownlow. Also sounds a little like a certain co-captain that many wanted moved on early in his career (probably the same softcox that want him moved on now... or at least up until last Friday).

Word from the Suns is that they are thrilled with their Super fit young group and are happy to have moved older players on.

Melky weighted and change of angles work. Salem has his individual program. White cap (no contact), Howes, Woewodin and Sparrow

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
