WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ

I get the feeling that this is 100% certain to go through, but will be close to the end id trade week as they’d wanna know the Hogan/ May situation before committing a pick to KK.

Sounds like the club wants to package May and KK together.  If the May trade falls through, trade a pick for him.

Very excited about seeing him in the red and blue in 2019 - he is silk.

My nickname for Kade is  'MGA'.

If anyone can figure out that riddle they likely have an IQ over 150.

Sounds like him and Gus could buddy up. Gus could be a good mentor and give him some advice on the confidence thing. From concussion to 3rd in the Brownlow- the story of the helmeted hero

One could wear a blue helmet, the other could wear a red helmet. Red 'n Blue. Why don't we all wear headgear, come to think of it as concussive injuries are rife these days. Set a nice little precedent.

No, nothing to do with cars.

It is much more intellectual than that.   I think someone will get it if they think hard.

Think GCS will chase future picks as the are pretty loaded this trade period.

No.

And for the record, this riddle isnt a waste of time or something stupid.  Its actually a brilliant nickname.   If nobody has figured it out by the close of trade period I will reveal it.

I know it's been talked about that we're looking at a future 3rd for KK, I reckon we could offer a future 2nd if they throw in Sam Collins (state league player) who would provide that strong body in the back-line and has improved massively this year. We'd then tell the suns we're out of the race for May this year. Collins would be on a minimal contract so if he doesn't work then we can still have a crack at May next year, but if he carries the VFL form over we'll have a massive win.

As long this trade remains incomplete it means we still believe we're in the Hogan trade market.

Agreed. We will clearly try and package May and KK for pick 5, which we will receive from Freo for Hogan.

I'm waiting for the Neale trade to come thru. Once Peter Bell gets off his high chair and gets this done, the rest of the dominoes will fall very quickly.

Hopefully the clubs have agreed to both a “with May” and “without May” scenario and are just waiting for Freo to pull their finger out. It’s hard to believe a Kolodjashnij trade would be that hard to solve in isolation if it wasn’t tangled up with Neale/Hogan/May (refer Kent trade).

This article indicates that the Suns will be chasing future picks due to the amount of picks they already have this year. So based on this, you would think that' the KK trade should be pretty straightforward and we trade next years 3rd rounder.

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
