I've rolled a car too around 50 years ago, hit a bluestone garden bed which would have been around 350mm high, ripping the wheel off under the chassis causing the car to tip over. Would have been doing around 30-40kmh.

OK boomer. We know this is made up. Cars weren't even invented 50 years ago.

Old age does things to the memory. You're probably remembering futuristic horseless carriages you saw in some moving picture show.

Could be MR in the 70's the only reason to watch the Redlegs was a certain player called Flower. Or were they called the Fushias back then?

It was pre internet and didn't really exist. You can read about it in Pepys' diaries.

Blame the boomers for creating the internet also. Life was so much more fun when we could only vent about the footy at the pub with a beer and a smoke.

In spite of all the crap I wish he was still at the MFC Ernest, 50 goal a year KPF don't grow on trees. Can you imagine the Weid kicking 50 in season? I can't.

Urban myth. Hogan has never kicked 50 goals on an AFL season.

While we're all sharing our car-rolling stories: my best friend barely clipped a round-about in his Subaru on a Sunday morning once and we briefly went up on two wheels before landing safely and breathing a big sigh of relief. We'd been doubling-down on MDMA for around the past 14 hours, so according to the law of diminishing returns I don't think it would have been a major factor by then.

Yep. Those big stones do not move. I wasn’t going that fast either, changed down a gear and must have slid the back wheel into a Stone. I heard a thud and over she went...never forget those moments.
The night before Darren Cuthbertson kicked 9 out at Waverley.

I made it to the game, bruised and battered!!!

For a moment there I thought you were a time traveller. I read "the night before" meaning that Cuthbertson had kicked his 9 before your accident rather than the reverse.

Of course, the even less believable point is that a Melbourne player kicked 9 goals in a single match.

Yes. I think he kicked 8 the following week and then  nothing!!

The opposition obviously worked him out 100%

Driving a Valiant 50 years back!! Is it some form of time machine?  Please drive it back about 60 years so we can enjoy some premierships.

This really is sad news. Poor bugger, he really had a tough few years. Wishing him all the best; a recovery to full health.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
