" Port Adelaide – which hold picks 6 and 10 – and Adelaide (8 and 13) were both working on ways...to acquire pick five".

So who will end up holding pick 5:  Lions, Freo, Demons, Suns, Port, Crows?

I wouldn't put it past Freo to trade Neale for #5 + something (mooted to be a Coll 1st round pick for Beams), then cash in #5 with Crows/Power or keep it for themselves.

Freo can't lose:  Get Hogan on the cheap by offering a lower round 1 pick from the SA club (plus something) or take the SA picks to the draft.

All we have to say is no deal.

Your serotonin levels seem at all time lows this week, based on what trade radio I formed an opinion, which I said in my post (IMO). Give it a spell would ya.

I already apologised - see earlier post.  I was inappropriately reacting to you when I should have been reacting to the stream of such opinion/guess=fact posts.  But I expect my serotonin levels are low.

I still reckon it'll get done tomorrow, just opinion.

We'll probably accept unders but if it allows us to get May and therefore improve our team, who cares. We will boast one of the better backlines in the league next season with May and Lever, to accompany the best midfield and the best ruckman (and hey the forward line isn't too shabby either ?).

Get it done JM!

Listening to TR, it seems like all clubs will do a deal, Freo/Melb/Bris/GC...player swaps and swap of picks at the end. Well that's what it sounded like to me, but to be honest, I'm over it all.

i will sleep much better at night knowing may is there to help out.

if we get an injury to tom mcdonald we are rooted for the year though

My guess is the only thing you have missed is that it is all but done, and we are waiting for the “live theatre “ tomorrow night.

Apparently we mighy be looking to trade Hogan who has said he is open to returning home to Perth if a mutually agreeable trade can be facilitated. Word is Freo would be the club but apparently their head of football is looking for featgers rather than improving their average list and being diffficult.

My sources suggest a trade will either happen or it wont. Stay tuned.

You've just gone for the ultimate shoot-the-moon. Immense kudos if it makes the crater. Hell, I'm giving credit just for trying.

Can't go past a Monte Carlo. Oldy but a goody!

Oh and Jordan Roughead traded from Bulldogs to Collingwood for Pick 57.

Dogs to refuse to trade Marcus Adams.

Excuse my ignorance, but is this the first time Fox have broadcast this?  Not that I can imagine what 'this' is - a bunch of reporters talking in hushed tones outside closed doors?

Tomorrow I shall bring out the Chocolate Royals.

Trading Hogan for May is still a disgrace. MFC always get shafted in the deal, sick of it.

I'd lol if May got suspended during the finals and missed a potential GF.

If we always get shafted in deals then we would be a bottom 4 side, not a top 4 side.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
