Mine's the same as yours

It doesn't sit well though

I didn't always think this, but seemingly it was always going to happen.

I'm happy to draw the curtain this year and move on.

Any chance the Dees will get pick 5, and then instead of giving it to the Suns, trade it up to a higher pick? Say, 1, 2, 3 or 4, similar to what we did with (I think) Oliver and Weid?

I don't think we'd need to it's not like other drafts where there's only 2-3 great players. There are 7 amazing players in this draft.

Think you may find, the GC have ample picks this year at the top of the order and are looking to try and bank picks for next year when they will have the start of a number of elite academy players start to come through. While they May still want Pick 5 for May (lots of May's), they will then look to either turn this into picks next year or look for a group of Future picks instead of taking pick 5 into next years draft to lift the points they have available for academy players. How they do that remains to be seen, but one thing I can guarantee is they want picks next year! Apparently their Academy squad at junior levels is pretty darn good, coming from far more informed sources than I on the subject of scouting and recruiting.

Thanks. No idea what or how they'll use it,only it's the OVERPAYMENT for May. Other players picks etc bound to be part of the change coming back.Theyre just my thoughts of course.

I made a general warning to all posters re: antagonizing, baiting, trolling etc. I gave you a private "friendly" warning regarding this. Consider this a public still friendly-but-cooling-a-la-Fremantle-to-Jesse-Hogan-in-your-humble-opinion warning.

I got a warning a while back for calling Saty "Scoota"

This is only going to end one way if this bloke is who everyone suspects. Save you breath and make a call on him now, before the site becomes unreadable again.

Sorry, sir. But Enter the Range Rover started it. Shall I now go stand in the corner?

nice beer Furphy.

My take on Hogan!  If he goes then it is a big loss for MFC.  We recruited an eventual superstar, MFC looked after him, developed him and bent over backwards to accomodate his requests.  These guys do not grow on trees and in my opinion he owes the MFC and supporters.

If he goes, I DO NOT WANT MFC to ever recruit interstate sooks who cannot grow up and live away from home.  This go home factor is out of control and it should be hauled in by the AFL.

As for Hogan maybe he just needs to mature a bit and realise he was given a great opportunity by the MFC and never was invested.  No wishing him well on my part, hope he spends years trudging off the ground as a Fremantle player at the bottom of the ladder, while watching his former teammates play finals.

Maybe surfing is more important to Jesse than success at a football club.

Please leave 'RR' on until at least the trade period has finished 'Demonland'.

It's going to be priceless to see the reaction if he's proven wrong...

Hope we can do seperate deals

Hogan, pick 44 and 62 for pick 5, 23, 30

pick 5 for May and pick 29

future 3rd round pick for Kolodjashnij

Apparently there ain't no deal.

As I said at the start .

Another year, another Hogan hysteria.

You expect players to be loyal but clubs aren't loyal to players. It's 2 sets of standards. As soon as a player is 30 and nearing a fringe player then they're given the boot so let's not pretend that clubs are loyal to players. Clubs are only loyal to good players so Hogan has every right to go and doesn't owe us anything. Same with scully.

The Demons not even mentioned by Cameron despite Mahoney’s previous very public declaration of our interest.

Clear shift away from Melbourne. Suns open to all viable offers now that the Hogan trade looks dead and buried.

What other viable offers are there? Dogs at 7 the only one but unlikely they'd (Dogs) be willing to do that.

We are not letting him go at 30 yrs old!  Nor Scully!  I do not agree with your view.  Hogan is in his prime and wants out!!

Hogan trade is not dead and buried

So sounds like we will end up doing the following;

OUT: Hogan, one of picks 46 or 54

IN: May, KK, one of picks 18, 23 or 30

Fingers crossed it's pick 54 out and pick 18 in.

This whole trade period has become a farce!!

Deliberately holding back announcing deals for Foxtel is ludicrous.  Not one deal of significance has gone thru.  Pending:

  • Shiel
  • Wingard
  • Scully
  • Lobb
  • Kelly
  • Beams
  • Neale
  • Hogan
  • May

That is a lot to get done in a few hours.

Wouldn't be surprised if they start filming at Noon to make sure the paperwork is done in time.  Then edit it down to a few hours to make it 'interesting and to look 'live' but delay putting it to air.

Very fishy if you ask me. And who sticks up for the AFL....

I think his point is that loyalty on both ends doesn’t exist as much as it once did. If we are happy to shop players around as pieces of commodities isn’t it fair that the players do the same when they may get the best value for themselves?

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
