Is the Perth casino a good place to watch the Tigers and Pies smash each other on Friday night with fellow Dees supporters?

Yeah mate, the sports bar there is pretty good. Bogan central though.

Unfortunately I can’t convince the wife that this is a good way to spend money so I’m saving for a GF ticket (knock on wood)

Is anyone looking into chartering a plane? These guys are doing it for Eagles supporters in case they make it.

How's Virgin, they put on a new flight to Perth on Saturday and it is even reasonably priced... lands at 1:05pm on Saturday. Good one Virgin!

Planning on going. Was out the front of a Ticketmaster at 6:30am this morning and grabbed my que ticket (02!!!). Will be heading back to try and secure them shortly.

Haven't booked flights yet as I want to ensure I'll get game tickets first, but looking at approx $1300 return!!!!

Do you need tickets?

As low as $460.00 return on Jetstar (leave Friday return Sunday) if you’re not fussy re early or late times.

I’m doing Brisbane/Perth for $660.00.

All good thanks mate. Got my tickets & flights arranged.

Ground level, on the wing! Flying to Perth Thursday night and catching the red eye home on Sunday night.

Put this is the wrong thread earlier....

Nephew used my codes, and got tickets for 4 people, up behind the Dees cheer sqaud.

Lucky he is with a couple of  mates who can go a bit, as his mouth is Shrek sized when the Dees are playing.

Hopefully we can get enough voices there to be heard.

I just bought flights to Perth (without tickets to the game!) If anyone has a spare/knows how I can get a ticket, that would be amazing! Please let me know :)

Those new Jetstar flight times are good (unlike Virgin flying in 10 minutes before the match starts!) but you’re still looking at $1200 return.

We’re going and we’ll be loud! Goody convinced me! (Costing a small fortune- bought a package)

Where’s a good pub for post game celebration (hopefully)? Also to watch the game on Friday night?

Did anyone else notice the Webjet site was stinking up the joint in the last few days? Couldn’t search this route at all.

I’ll be there with some of my family... very exciting!

Does anyone know if the dees have a training session on the Friday at the ground?

You know what, its a pity Our club can't arrange these matters, for members who can't make it over... that they could organize an on-trade for the one game, at a moderate fee, for handling the matter on behalf of the members involved.

Jetstar have added a flight to Perth from 7am Friday from Melbourne for $452. Likewise return Sunday at 10am for the same price.

Yes, seems to me the airlines were holding onto flights for there own websites. It’s fair to say it was/ is hard work trying to work out flights.

So we bought our tickets to the game as soon as we could, determined to buy flights only 8f they put on cheaper flights. But, as is always the way when it comes to the MFC, my old man, my sister and I, bit the bullet and splashed close to $800+ each.

We will be there and I hope my loudness can compete with the 50,000-odd feral out of work miners.

Managed to secure seats to the game on the wing on the ground level. Flying out Thursday night and flying home on the red eye sunday night.

Here's hoping for a memorable match!

Which airline you flying with if you don’t mind me asking? That’s our schedule also.

Gone with Qantas. Thought they had much better scheduled flights then the other airlines.

Qantas also, we could be on the same flight.

I'm happy to chip in if we can get the woo-hoo guy from Adelaide Oval over. Anyone know his gofundme details?

  • CASEY: Geelong

There was a time in the second quarter of the game at the Cattery on Friday afternoon when the Casey Demons threatened to take the game apart against the Cats. The Demons had been well on top early but were struggling to convert their ascendancy over the ground until Tom Fullarton’s burst of three goals in the space of eight minutes on the way to a five goal haul and his best game for the club since arriving from Brisbane at the end of 2023. He was leading, marking and otherwise giving his opponents a merry dance as Casey grabbed a three goal lead in the blink of an eye. Fullarton has now kicked ten goals in Casey’s three matches and, with Melbourne’s forward conversion woes, he is definitely in with a chance to get his first game with the club in next week’s Gather Round in Adelaide. Despite the tall forward’s efforts - he finished with 19 disposals and eight marks and had four hit outs as back up to Will Verrall in the second half - it wasn’t enough as Geelong reigned in the lead through persistent attacks and eventually clawed their way to the lead early in the last and held it till they achieved the end aim of victory.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
