Guess i got lucky. sat next to a nice old lady (hawks supporter) who was very kind and tried her best to cheer for the hawks even when surrounded by a fair few dees fans. Couple of the bandwagon dees fans were telling all the hawks fans to f off during the third which was pretty poor, causing this lady to leave 3/4 time. she told me the dees had won with a smile, but i think it was the disrespectful (bandwagon) fans being dicks. May i add these "dees" fans had to ask someone, "who's that bald guy number 2?"... last time im sitting level 4

There lies your problem, sitting in level 4.

the most arrogant of all supporters, Dorks fans. I despise no teams fans more.

Some muppet was having a right old sook ans having a go at a Dees supporter not too far from me. 10 seconds later we kicked a goal and everyone told him about it. Was pure brilliance ?

I wish i could have gone to the game, i would have had lots of fun with the dorks fans.

Thought it a bit hypocritical that on the big screens the HFC and MCG mentioning to alert the authorities concerning anti-social behaviour, and yet it was their revolting mob that were the cause of most of it tonight.

They can b!tch and moan on about it all they want, good riddance

Fair amount of booing? I think they are referring to the weeeeeeed chant that goes up across the ground when he gets the footy. They would know this if they bothered to watch our game last week....

Was really brave of them to attack a guy taking his kids to the footy.

  • Players like Breust and Smith are never going to look good when we have our backs against the wall.
  • Should have let that embarassing club rot. The amount of shame and embarassment they have brought on our game far exceeds the good.
  • Don't worry hawks fans. Picture Petracca's [censored] face taunting Sicily. That same face will be in tears Saturday week after Kennedy and Darling have finished with his team.
  • I'd keep Mirra and get rid of Frawley, an absolute f&$king spud.
  • Can we trade for spargo looks a good player.
  • Impey is actually pretty ordinary.
  • Years of tanking finally paying off.
  • How many times is clayton oliver going to throw it?
  • Melbourne wasn't good on the night! umpires were magnificent tonight.
  • Any chance we can give Frawley back to the D's?
  • Richmond made us look worse than we really are. Geelong made Melbourne look better than they really are.
  • Poor max gawn is a bloody hideous looking individual.
  • Lots of Melbourne booing, has tomorrow’s snow report come out or something?
  • Senior players gone missing for the second straight week.
  • Oliver is the biggest cat in the AFL... tries to act like a tough campaigner but isn't.
  • Do. Not. Ever. Kick. The. Ball. To. James. Frawley.
  • Melbourne's pressure in our forward line was excellent.
  • This posession gamestyle we play will not bring any more success.

What a pack of pathetic wet blankets that mob are, after the amount of success they’ve had, they still can’t even be humble in defeat. I really  hate that arrogant pack of twats!!!!

They bought their last 3 flags, watch them all drop off in the next couple of years when they’re not a destination club anymore

[censored] you Kennett, Clarkson & the rest of you arrogant pricks

I think whoever wrote that might be on to something. Their game style would probably work against most teams but not in the pressure cooker of the finals.

When they were desperate to catch up they held onto the ball for too long and allowed our defence to set up and counter them. It reminded me of past days when Demon fans would complain that we had no Plan B.

Seeing that fl og get kicked out was gold! Seeing thousands of them on the platforms at Rich station not long after the siren while the Dees fans were still inside celebrating was awesome. Seeing this [censored] n sooks sooking it up was even better.

If you support Hawthorn you lack character and integrity as an individual.

There are no exceptions.

I know it is only football but this rule applies.

They need years of pain and sorrow as a football club before they have any hope of developing likeable personalities as people.

Farc 'em all.

He certainly was an A+ tool Cards, I’m almost certain you’re talking about the guy that was close to us. He was looking for a fight and willing to start it with anyone. Security needed to be alerted, it was getting out of hand.

I hope all those sooks heard the Melbourne chant going around the G when the boys were waiting for Jones to finish his interview with Daisy. That was brilliant by our supporters.

I think you'll find we drafted Brayshaw at 3, Petracca was pick #2

Quite satisfactory either way.

The Mayblooms want to give us ‘Judas ‘ back. GWS might be a better option for those types.

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.
