To all those who wanted spargo rested, a pox on your house.

To all those who didn't want Melksham 2 years ago, a pox on your house.

To all those who thinks Oscar should be in the twos, a pox on your house.

To all those who thinks ANB wasn't worth being in the firsts, a pox on your house.

To all those who believe this club was no good, A POX ON YOUR HOUSE.

GO DEES

Compare the pair. We know plus or minus a player or two who will be in our 2018 Preliminary Final Team. Here's the team from 30 years ago including a number of stars but also some players I don't even remember (Bret Bailey?). I think the 2018 team would have the 1988 team covered (which is a huge compliment to John Northey for getting them into the GF).

Word on Perth radio is that Lycett might not get up. Couldn't participate in their main session on the weekend.

Could be mind games to mess with our defensive set up too

That would be massive. We need every advantage we can get.

I think it’s something you get when you’ve been near a Collingwood supporter...

Nah, we're better on paper... just need fair umpiring.

The 87 team made a prelim and followed it up with a GF appearance in 88 so they weren't too bad.

A few similarities in the sense that both teams didn't have the greatest of home and way seasons. In '88 we started like a house on fire as I recall then had a mid season slump... (won 7 out of the first 8 and then 6 out of the next 14).

Northey was on the radio the other day and like many here say the 1990 premiership was ours to win.

Wow, that team was so inexperienced.  The average games played would lucky to be over 50.

The only change I would be tempted to make would be

Out: Tyson

In: Hunt

West coast have two very quick small forwards. The length of the ground and the ability to switch with pace. Hunt looked ok for Casey in conditions that were terrible. I would take a risk.

SEN reported Max trained indoors today ?

...Club said he will be going to Perth with the team...

tempted for J Smith for Tyson but gotta keep the team feel running

Smith is a part of the year's successes - therefore, a team member with a full deck of cards. He is more potent than Tyson. Therefore, Smith in, Tyson issued a ticket to spectate.

you'd pick a guy who's been out of form all year and was just 'ok' in the vfl? bit late in year to speculate

You mean like with Goldsack.

No change. Stability is great this time of the season. In 2005 Sydney didn't have a change for about 10 weeks.

no goldsack wasn't out of form, just out of game time like jack viney. goldsack is more of an experienced known quantity too

having said that, goldsack was still a risk. hunt would be a bigger risk (and i'm a hunt fan)

Its not the right thread but Im so caught up in the euphoria of success at the minute I ju st wanted to give a shout out to Viney. Hasnt played for half a season and plays wonderfully.

As far as changes maybe Vince for Tyson but I dont think it will happen.

Go you good demons.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
