Indeed. But at least there is a scope for actually responding in this thread!

I've got no specific music suggestions but if we could get Bear McCreary to do a version of Grand Old Flag I'd be up for it.

I also feel like starting an alternate thread for the absolute least apropriate song for the moment. But I'm sure it would be 'discussion over' right away if I started it with this -

One for the oldies among us: "Wishin' and Hopin'" by Dusty Springfield.  An interesting fact is that it was released in 1964, but this has pros and cons.  Obviously we won our last Flag in '64, but the hit song only reached the Top 10.  Interpret that as you will.
