Score senor?....im watching a program on great train journeys across Cuba ....

I'll be sick if Essendon win this. All the stars aligning for them with Richmond basically happy to start tanking. Disgusting.

Got on Essendon at $2.40 earlier in the week.

Tiges got nothing to play for

now that is a juxtaposition of themes... do they serve rum on board ?

I have just been reliving some of my train trips across India.... definitely no rum !

Richmond 24..bombers 15... Tiges on top ... Bombers getting some favourable umpire interpretations

If this is Richmond ‘tanking’, then hand them the cup now.

Just die bummers......just...

Regardless of whether or not we miss finals, please for the love of God let these drug cheating assholes lose tonight so we can rest easy knowing they can't take our place.

And this Friday night we have to listen to allahu Macaveney.

Yep- start resting players for next week.

I’m not watching the game but remember the Tigers and Bombers hate each other, Richmond and Dimma doesn’t strike me as someone that would be comfortable with his players coasting.

Not coasting, have had all the play just not scoring.

Richmond just don’t allow repeat inside 50s by the opposition. Seems like they have mastered everything from tap ons to backheels and any way possible to get the ball forward.

Goddard is a dead weight on Essendon.  How he can look so indignant at others when he put in such a weak effort himself is beyond me.

The Bombers are definitely right to wait on his contract.

As they say in the classics... "It's time to write your book, Brendan".

Goddard is playing injured - but it’s desperate times, desperate measures for the Peppies tonight, so they want their best players in

They’ll win this

Tigers are coasting

They are SCARY good, and their ability to not have injured players is outstanding

Bugger poaching coaches, I want their medical and conditioning staff

Did Richmond pinch our goal kicking coach during the week?

Yep.They are a much better side than the druggies and are keeping them in it.

Imagine how good Richmond would be with a half decent ruckman...

Not sure if I massively underrated Josh Caddy or if he has improved out of sight in the last two years. But boy he is a handy player now.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
