What a dilemna. I hate the filth so much. I hate Norf too, but not as much.

It's probably preferable that Collingwood win to increase our chances of making the 8. But hoping the filth win? Probably a bridge too far !!

yeah painful; might be best just to not watch or follow the match and just live with the result.

Pies love using the entire ground and then exposing teams with their speed.

Lions v Crows shaping up as a season decider for the Crows.

Not sure who I want to win between Port and GWS.  Probably depends on how we go tonight.

Reasonable crowd at the "G: today. Relevant departments must have been very busy this morning issuing day passes.

GC only 6 points behind Swans despite very wasteful Q1. Can always hope.

Come on Suns!!! You need to win a game before you meet us in a couple of weeks.

North look gone and Gold Coast will be spanked after half time.

Sun's on fire this quarter!

(yes, the sun is a boiling mass of fire)

Come on Gold Coast and Carlton. Two upsets this weekend would be great.

And yes I know Carlton will not win this game unless the Hawthorn team bus catches fire and they miss the game.

Carlton are in full tanking mode including managing players.

Jeez Gold Coast are putting up a fight. Can't accuse them of tanking! Hopefully they get over the Swans here, would help our chances in the run home!

Stat watchers would be scratching their heads at the Gold Coast. Suns losing every stat except hitouts and i50s. Oh, and the main stat, the scoreboard.

footy really isnt complicated is it..;)

Hit the scoreboard....not the stats sheet...and you win

Checks scores for Sydney v Gold Coast at quarter time. Yeeap.

Checks scores for Sydney v Gold Coast halway through the third quarter. Whaaaaat?

Suns should win... wtf

Can they hold on in the last quarter ?

I nodded off on the couch at quarter time watching it. Woke up with two minutes til half time and thought I’d awoken in a parallel universe.

Saw every minute of the third quarter though and they are absolutely dominating. A better side would be up by 40 now.

Hope they finish the job. Sydney falling at this hurdle is massive.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
