I nodded off on the couch at quarter time watching it. Woke up with two minutes til half time and thought I’d awoken in a parallel universe.

Saw every minute of the third quarter though and they are absolutely dominating. A better side would be up by 40 now.

Hope they finish the job. Sydney falling at this hurdle is massive.

Sydney look stuffed.

We are being absolutely gifted a top 8 spot. Even more reason to win tonight.

Ā

So I guess North wont be sneaking into the 8 on percentage.

Meanwhile, has there ever been a round where I've wanted more upsets? Gold Coast, Carlton, Dogs, Brisbane.

Setting up to be a thriller at the SCG. Come on you Sunnies! ?

Sydney just will not die. Running rampant like the 1st quarter again now.

Shiiiiit I think they are homeĀ

Ā

and to think I almost stopped watching at 1Q time......Ā  Suns will win now

Ā

Good on ya Suns!!! Kids having a real dip.

Im sorry can someone explain to me what is happening at the SCG?

This would have to be the biggest upset of the year. But gee the suns are doing us a favour. Even more important why we need to win tonight.Ā

Did the crowd just boo the Swans?

Irrelevant ifĀ we dont win tonight.

Geez Suns have pulled one out of the hat.

Come on Dees ..... this is your opportunity. Ā Are you up to it? (Will need to beat 25 vs 22 tonight).

Happy for Gold Coast. Happier for us.Ā

Come on Carlton and GWS. We might even be 4th at the end of the round if we win tonight!

Got to give the Sun's their Dew ;)

Ā

Fagan wins against his old side last week, Dew this week. Hopefully Goody next week

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.Ā  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
