What the hell has happened to our inside contested ball work. Our pressure is non existent. Teams just waltz away from pack situations against us.

We won a free kick in our defence so do you know what would be a good idea, not to kick it to a three on one. But of course we’re Melbourne so.....

That's why frost wasn't getting games.

It's amazing how often I see Oscar McDonald 50cm away as a bloke takes a mark. His obsession with his man is unhealthy. He gets dragged up the ground too often, and doesn't leave his man to impact the contest in d50 when he should.

That is true to an extent chook.  He needs to impact more often at the drop and take a few more risks off his man and back himself.

Still reckon he adds more than he takes away. Jetta and Frost our best 2 defenders this half IMO.

Players either guarding space or two or more players tackling one means teams can just waltz away from packs. No trust in this team.

Another Goodwin move. Bring in Hannan who has done SFA all year for Viney when you have Tyson, who all year you have refused to play in his rightful spot as an inside mid.

Honestly this coach and this team are infuriating.

Good lord this has St Kilda game written all over it..

They beating us to the ball and their young kids are just running around us with ease.

Again Oscar making an average player look like Wayne Carey.

[censored] off Lewis!

Wheres Jones? Need the the captain to step up!

Ordinary first half.

Absolute Garbage,

i don’t care if we come out and win by 60 points , we are still a [censored] football side

We’re a stupid football side. Basic errors costing us.

I don’t like our chances if it ends up being a close one.

1. Midfielders are getting absolutely smashed. Jones' defensive awareness is embarrassing.

2. JKH is a liability.

3. Garlett will never learn and doesn't apply enough pressure.

4. We kick to contested areas and allow Footscray to waltz it out.

5. If the Dogs start clunking their marks, we are due for heartbreak.

6. We continue, week in and week out, play into the opposition's hands when going forward.

7. We rarely if ever have loose players to kick the ball too in transition.

Goodwin needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat if we’re gonna win this. Very similar game styles and the Dogs looking more composed leaving the contest.

JKH career over.

Kicking to too many outnumbered contests.

Our disposal by hand and foot is putrid today.

same mistakes, different week. Are they being coached?

We are the easiest team to beat.

Pathetic.

Seen much of Carlton this year Jaded?

Sam Frost. Runs back to the goal and leaves Schache free: goal. Kicks to Gawn but in a 1 on 3. Johannisen clears, goal.

If we lose this (possible), it'll be because of events like the above - and not only Frost. Just too many turnovers and sloppy disposals.

we're def not looking like the better side. Their attacking thrusts look far faster and more dangerous. Sadly, I think we're going down here. We could lose this by 6 goals

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
