Do we have to ‘nominate’ him beforehand like father son nominations?  If so, by when?

As well as residing in a certain club's region, to be eligible the player must be born or have one parent born in Asia or Africa; be of Indigenous background residing in a remote region; or have both parents born in a non-English speaking country (not Asia or Africa).

are there any highlights of this kid anywhere on the world wide web? Cn't find anything on him. Frustrating!

I’m going early with this but if nobody’s nominated him by now, he’s a Demon!

If no one bids we can take him as a rookie. Sounds like the other clubs don’t rate him.

12 touches a game doesn't impress me, nor does 1 goal a game.

But 8 tackles and 3 clearances are more impressive numbers. That's a guy who can win it in tight and be a really aggressive tackler.

I'd want to know why he's not finding the ball in space more. Is it work rate, is it the position the team puts him in or is it a feel for the game thing that might be able to be taught.

Charlie Spargo says hello!

An ethnic group or an ethnicity is a category of people who identify with each other based on similarities such as common ancestry, language, history, society, culture or nation
.

people who are born into other cultures, in other countries are "ethnic" Why try to turn it into a swear word when its not?

Going very early on this, Jack, but I reckon we'd be very happy we can pick him up later on and stock up in the midfield with earlier picks.

Bit early going onto the "Welcome to MFC" thread title isn't it? Have we picked him yet?

We still have 2 spots on our list left, I reckon we will see a rookie elevation and this kid.

Either way, he’s a Demon.

I watched a replay of the Vic Country v WA Under 18 Championship game and he was in the three best players for the Country boys, the best being Sam Walsh who went #1.

I’m astonished that nobody put in a bid for him.

We could also choose not to take him at all?

Who is the last player we've had on the list that sported a rats tail??

Looks like Toby was one of the steals at the draft. We passed on our last pick so we must still be after a delisted free agent?

... still have the rookie draft.

Do we need to fill another spot? Or do we now fall into the min required number?

Also, we grabbed Wagner #2

Wagner falls into the rookies so we have 1 rookie spot to fill and we are 1 short on the senior list.

Round 7 is here, with the ANZAC commemoration games taking centre stage. Who are you tipping this week, and which results would be most favourable for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
