He’s a lucky boy Bernie, he bumped and jumped whilst doing it and very surprisingly didn’t make contact with Daisy’s scone.

Surprised how quickly Daisy got up, thought he would have squibbed it looking for a free kick which also helps Bernie get off

Unless there is an injury then it's no change.  These 22 players deserve to be rewarded for their efforts.

Bernie has no case to answer.  Got him up the middle and Thomas bounced straight up.

Not a chance. Hannan I could see, but not Spargo.

I was only able to watch the second half but Hannan was brillant, no way he’s going out, no changes for next week

He was no good when the game was up for grabs. Piled it on a bit when the head had gone out of it for sure.

No change you'd think

You're a harsh judge on Hannan @Chook

VFL game was also impressive, and I think Pedo could come in for Smith to help Gawn in the ruck.

You can't ask Gawn to take as much of the ruck as he has been rucking in that heat. He will need some more help, and Pedo's engine isn't too bad.

Smith was Ok, I'm more thinking for team balance a second ruck is going to help in the heat.

Spargo just did enough, but could be due for the dreaded first year "rest" week. Bailey got it already, and Spargo might be rested.

Still, Bernie was a little out of sorts today and his kicking in from fullback was nerve wracking. Salem did some good things but could not handle the physicality very well - hung back a few times. Give Bernie a rest for a week; put in Pedo if this is the game plan we intend to persist with as it would suit his utility function in the forward line. Maybe, just maybe, bring in Hunt for Salem for one week of his own redemption - his pace is still needed. Garlett might be needed now that we have discovered deep forwards behind the defenders.

Fully agree. Smith was good, three times. Pedo has more in that fwd utility role.

I like what Bull Smith brings to the table...  18 disposals, 9 hitouts, 5 tackles, 2 shots on goal.  Whats the point of bringing in Pedersen who may or may not replicate Smiths numbers/impact?

NO CHANGE

Why? 18 touches, 5 marks and 5 tackles plus 9 hitouts is more then Pedo will do. Plus Bull has some important knocks, tapons and spoils. Why drop a bloke after a great win for no reason?

No way. As I said in the post match, Smith did a number of contest killers that resulted in goals that should have been easy Carlton marks.

Looked right at home for me. Pedersen is unlucky after his VFL performance, but there are no vacancies in the team for him.

Regardless of the MRP, Bernie should still have a case to answer for dabbing a kick inboard from the defensive pocket to a one-on-two 40m out straight in front. I saw it all unfold before it even happened and I'm no prophet.

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
