11 goals!  That'll do!!

Let me guess the first post disparaging the win.

Rubbish opposition?

We should have won by 100?

We played well for four quarters, but our inside f50 is horrendous, second half got better but hard to say whether that was more us than them. I’ll er on we got better.

still over handball at times, especially in first quarters.

Those who predicted a 10 goal routing....well done. I didn't.

To the lads .   Well done

Now we know how... Set....repeat....

Go Dees

Equalled the record for the most i50s in a game 83. Should have been a 100pt win.

Did we win?  Tick

Did we win away from home?  Tick

Did we win by more than 10 goals?  Tick

Is every Demon fan acting like a 5 year old on Xmas morning after watching us kick 21 goals?  Tick

Just got home and I can't wait to watch the replay!  DEMONS!!!

Last week I complained that we didn't stick the boot in and make it a percentage booster.  I guess the coaches must have said the same thing because we certainly did it this time.  I still hate the way we deliver the ball into the f50, but that was a quality game.

adequately done against 3 lowly teams  1 more shite team to beat next week  and I will be happy.  Season still hangs on winnings these 4 games

Great to see us finally put the foot down in the last quarter and build percentage. Good win Dees!

I’ll go, can’t believe we couldn’t get one more inside 50 in 4 minutes to break the record, only tie it. Pfft, losers?.

When we needed something good it was TMac showing his worth early. Hopefully not a bad injury. Good win, rest up and let’s set our season up.

Yeah, I am fuming we gave up the last goal.

(not being serious...)

We destroyed them.   Only complaint is all the easy missed goals.

Now virtually in the top 4.    Momentum is building.

How many easy goals did we miss?

Should have won by 100 at least

No reason we shouldn't repeat it next week BB .... that was  a game of absolute domination ... if we had kicked a little better in the first half it would have been a plus 100 point win.

Beat Carlton, Adelaide and that other team who play in the black and white and the football world will finally take notice.

Good game Jordan Lewis. Some smart decision making when we needed it.

Such a good feeling leapfrogging the two Sydney teams.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
