rpfc 29,030 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Titus is good. @Big Demon is bad. 2 weeks? Roundhouse off the ball that was hard enough to cause ‘unviable’ teeth... Go watch UFC. Quote
John Demonic 5,988 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 (edited) Would someone be so kind as to provide me with any evidence or sources that he will play for us next year? The comments seemed to have been started awhile back and are now being parroted as fact like it's a done deal by almost everyone. Including me at times. Edited August 7, 2018 by johndemonic 1 Quote
chook fowler 19,778 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 I reckon Gaff and/or Methcoast should bear financial responsibility for the many years of dental work to follow - could easily be more than $100,000 for implants and the like. 2 Quote

It'll be covered by Freo as it's a workplace injury. Whether Freo goes after the Eagles could be interesting.. there would of course be insurers involved and it may well be the same insurer but even then due to reinsurers etc you might still see a case. At 100k though my guess is that it wouldn't really be worth pursuing. Going after Gaff would be highly unusual in a workplace environment. Edited August 7, 2018 by Diamond_Jim Quote

Just a reminder this is a contact sport and if a genuinely tough guy like Cunnington can liver punch Bernie and get just a fine Gaff with a mild jab could have almost completely got off. So many fans here turn a blind eye when our own get hit but I don’t. 1 Quote

ShaneJ 88 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Those are the kind of punches that can kill people. 8 weeks is nothing compared to what Brayshaw is going through. 1 Quote

I would expect there would be a fair few issues that need to be worked through if mfc was to offer Gaff a contract 2 Quote

Got off lightly, considering he executed a solid fist to the face of an innocent opponent and then kept running brayshaw will still be in recovery long after that. I don't know why there are people who think Gaff is straight to Melbourne, like what he did means nothing. Gus and his family have to come first. Quote
At Least I Saw a Flag 5,353 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 My son was coward punched. Hit a hard floor. Knocked unconscious. Chipped teeth, broken nose, face cut/swollen. Thankfully no permanent brain damage. The Gaff punch wasn't a coward punch at least. Brayshaw was facing him. The comments that Gaff could face gaol time if charged are clueless. First time offenders NEVER get gaol time. 2 Quote

Just the usual media linking an uncontracted ex-Victorian interstate player with a few Melbourne based clubs with "room" in the cap. We're one of those clubs. As usual a lot of wishful thinking on here that he is a shoe in to come to us. North, Saints & Blues also a chance. 4 Quote
